  • Not had many cars really, as I only drove to work for a brief period 91-97, since then I only do 3000 miles a year. All 5 door hatchbacks

1991 - F reg Austin Maestro 1.3 Special inherited from my dad, which was written off when a **** in an MR2 drove into the back of it on the Holloway Road. Wasn't too upset to lose it though!
1995ish - J reg Citroen ZX Reflex 1.9d. Nice to drive, though not fast
2003 - 02 reg Ford Focus 1.6LX. Very nice car, still have it a ridiculous age really, but still drives well and less than 50000 on the clock

Ford Fiesta 1.1 Popular Plus in Ocean blue B975 WKL
Ford Fiesta 1.0 Popular in Ocean blue E343 HLH
White Vauxhall Nova piece of shit
Blue Rover 216 D650 MKO. Wrote this off hours after the play-off final. Only had it for 6 weeks.
red ford sierra. £50 runaround that lasted a few months before dying
Black Fiesta diesel with my ex. 1.8 diesel with no power steering. handled like a dog. I sold it for her
Silver Ford Ka R576 AKK I think - blinding little car. Perfect for my commute with my ex to dockloands. Economical and reliable
Red Peugeout 206 Y92 LGW. First ever brand new car. Loved it, loved the look, the drive, economy. Brilliant car. My ex took it when we split (the bitch)
Blue Sierra for a couple of months as a cheap runaround
Silver Peugeout 406 Coupe S727MMO. 3.0 V6 beast. Phenomenal car, looked and sounded stunning. Cost a fortune to run!
Brand new Black MR2 (wifes car). So much fun it was unbelievable
Brand new Black Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 - oh. My. God. Unforgettable but impractical with a kid on the way.
Brand new black Honda Civic Type R (wifes) Same as the Evo - incredible piece of kit. Great fun. Liked to be driven hard.
Alfa Romeo 159 - Stunning to look at, stunning interior. Boring as fuck to drive though.
Ford Mondeo Titanium Plus EX08 LPL. Enormous, economical, loads of extras and technology. Loved that car if a little dull to drive.
Brand new Mitsubishi ASX (wifes). Dull but perfect at the time with 2 young kids
Brand new red Mercedes C Class - company car. Collected it from the factory in Germany and drove it back. I loved that car as I had it specced just how I wanted it
Another Brand new red Mercedes C Class - company car. Same as before but a little better. Hybrid battery didn't last long though so efficiency not the greatest.
Brand new Mazda CX5 (Wife) Brilliant car. Decent economy, very big and hugely comfortable. Still driving it now as I can't decide what car I want next.
brand new Volvo XC40 (Wifes but I chose it). I love this bad boy. Looks the part, loads of extras, drives well. Any chance I get to take this out I take.

No idea what I want next. To be honest all cars are starting to look the same and are pretty boring - unless you start looking at megabucks....which I am not

  • Passed 88.
S-reg Cavalier - bought for £300 in 1989 written off after it was hit outside the house after I'd spent £300 getting it through the MOT.
B-reg Escort mk 4 - sort of inherited it in 96. It had had one careless driver and the engine was gone.
R reg Ford Ka - bought after the Escort expired in 99. Nippy and suited me for a while but we had a kid and outgrew it.
And I found it made me car sick while driving.
2004 Ford Focus - 2005 to now. Changed jobs and didn't need to drive to work so haven't done the miles. It's had a few scrapes and looks terrible, but runs OK. Got to decide on whether I get another as it falls foul of ULEZ even though it's petrol. Still runs OK though.

Not really a car person as you can probably tell - for me it's a thing to get from A to B not an extension of my image.

First up - get one - they are a hell of a lot of car for the money

Second - get the 5.0 V8 - Ford have been making that engine for years and its bullet proof

Third - it's not as bad as you would imagine on thirstyness - sensible motorway driving you get around 25mpg - if you have a lead foot however it's thirsty - town driving it's probably just under 20 mpg

Third - don't be fooled by the gadgets, at its heart it's still a muscle car - it can still bite !!!
  • He probably has to add as much oil as petroleum to the mustang so I guess must be close to zero after you factor in that cost.

Luxury motoring in a straight line. Nice motor though. Am waiting a few years to move out of London (and getting a garage) before trying owning and working with some classics.

No chance of me buying one, I can only dream of buying a car like that anytime soon. Maybe in retirement lol.

Mine is the 2016 right hand drive version - not a classic 60/70's one - gone are the days of me getting my hands dirty mucking about with cars

I’m hoping due to jealousy that they still corner like a Prius.

Not too bad, but there is always a slight concern that it's lulling you into a false sense of security - you have to treat it with respect

Oh and never ever ever ever turn the traction control off - I did it once and will never do it again
  • I watched the 1st episode of the new series of the Grand Tour last week. They had the Mustang RTR on it as one of the three cars in the main segment of the show. Hubba hubba.

I have an aftermarket Roush exhaust on mine - sounds like nuclear war - you hear me long before you see me - must make it around 5 times louder than the standard exhaust
