i think the season could be resting on Vetokole's shoulders. If he can come good we may just be able to get going again but its a big if. Him starting with Taylor and Parker coming on later on with his pace could be the way forward.

First 15 minutes: Taylor kicked and dragged from pillar to post and the ref gives nothing.
Remainder of match: Taylor morphs into Kevin the Teenager and sulks and strops around the pitch, finally getting another booking that rules him out of the Donny and Pompey clashes.
Meanwhile, at the back His Royal Sarrness BeckenSarr The Enforcer puts in a 10 of a performance, showing that he's our best defender with a series of barnstorming challenges and goal-line clearances, our best midfielder with a some glorious passes and crosses and a couple of jinky runs, and almost scores a screamer with our best shot of the match. Naby proves he is the best all-rounder since IT Botham.
Eventually our toothless attack and insipid midfield (Aribo and Lapslie notwithstanding) is undone in the last five minutes with Waggy feeding the Pig.

By mid-March we can kiss goodbye to the play-offs and look forward to another season in Division Three.
Taylor to be booked against ex-side is a certainty. Sadly. Would it be crazy to not play him today and ensure he’s not suspended for Doncaster and Portsmouth games?

If Lyle doesn't play today there's little to no chance of a goal against the Wombles.
If he plays against Donny it's nailed-on he'll get booked and then be rubbed out for the Pompey match.
In other words Taylor's going to miss at least one of those two crucial games, either forced or by choice.
glass 1/2 full type of optimistic comment .. what ever the outcome of today's L1 games, we will maintain a play off spot .. the words hanging on, teeth and fingernails come to mind ((:>)
The sun is shining, it’s a lovely day out there to be playing football, the Charlton players will enjoy themselves and start their winning run in to the automatic spots today

Wombles would have planned all week to contain Taylor. Not starting him could put them on the back foot. I am sure they have thought about it, but Bows seems the type that will just get on with it and sort the problems out later so expect him to start.

If they want to out two or three players on him then that just means one or two of our players have a free rein.

... so that they can pass backwards or sideways without any pressure.

If not I would stake the midfield up a bit.
Bielik at the base with lapslie alongside to do the running. Williams as the one passer and Aribo there to push into the box.

Charlton to win 2-0, Taylor and Igor with the goals.
Lyle still picks up a booking though ...

He'll be back next week

Play your best team and win the game, Donny may drop points today so win and we have a bigger cushion going into next week.
or 5 in midfield?
