Matty Cash (Aston Villa) has been called up for International Duty... by Poland
From Wiki though not sure what the bolded bit means. Incredible coincidence that he was granted Polich Citizenship one day and called up the next!
Cash is of Polish descent through his mother, who is Polish born in Great Britain.[28] In September 2021, Cash applied for a Polish passport.[29] Cash's application for citizenship was signed on 26 October 2021 at the Masovian Voivodeship government building in Warsaw. With dual-nationality, Cash is now eligible for selection for the Poland national team.[30]
What is quite amusing is that PSG got rid of Thiago Silva because they felt he was too old and not worth the 2 year deal he wanted. 18 months later he's still playing in the best league in the world, won a CL and still plays for Brazil.
They then sign Ramos on a 2 year deal despite his injury issues at the end of his Madrid career and not going to the Euro's.

Apparently he spends the first couple of minutes just strolling about watching the opposition and how they've set up so he can start to spot gaps etc.
He has spent 2 years in the Premier league in that time.
