Two soft goals against the run of play was what ended our chances as they sat back and invited the pressure, with two big Centre-Backs that was always going to be difficult...
Didnt help that both Full-Backs had god awful games for us today
Rotating players in a chase for automatics where we have to win every game, our lord and saviour Lee Bowyer everyone. Imagine if he didn’t have Taylor to bail him out every week.
Can’t see us having the consistency needed over 3 play off games with this squad. No strength in depth, not enough goals, too many spongefoot midfielders.
The defence without Purrington and Sarr looked disorganised. Playing one up top did not work. But given Purrington and Vetokele were unfit, the only criticism of Bowyer is not bringing Sarr on at half time.
Wrong changes - Sarr is better than Pearce. Pearce is an excellent player but Sarr is better than him. This was the game for Sarr and Monday was the game for Pearce. Solly was rubbish, deserved to go and all the people who can't see what Purrington brings to the team - there you go.

Useless cunt
Jason Pearce (Charlton Athletic) wins a free kick in the defensive half.
Foul by Jamie Mackie (Oxford United).
Patrick Bauer (Charlton Athletic) wins a free kick in the defensive half.
Foul by Jerome Sinclair (Oxford United).
Today was clearly the harder fixture
Thats not too many changes

He lost that today before we kicked off.
We all dreamt of 2nd, we didnt expect it, we knew it would be a hard task, just a shame its Charlton who ended our own hopes!!
Back to the grind.
