  • Leeds need a new goalkeeper for next season. That guy is poor.
  • Daughter is at Leeds uni, so would love to combine a visit with an away game.

You'll be shocked to hear (if you didnt already know) that he was signed from Real Madrid
  • But the premier league needsLeeds Utd. It's so unfair! Ha ha!
Once again a Yorkshire team is in the PL, but not Leeds!

Hull, Huddersfield and now Sheffield United
  • Never like the play offs (even after 98), as I feel after 40 odd games the best teams should go up, but I understand the reasons for them and keeping them.
  • this game is exactly why I am bricking Friday. Not too a dissimilar situation to us vs Doncaster. 3rd vs 6th, one team on paper better than the other, one team genuinely better than the other, but one moment of pure fluke and Leeds looked like shit for the last 5 mins or so, very erratic.

    Second half will be interesting
Leeds though are the classic team who slumped to 3rd after finishing the season badly, and are down in confidence

By contrast we rose to 3rd in the last few minutes of the season and are brimming with confidence
tbh I think this post hits the nail on the head.

Mansfield had just 'bottled' autos by losing promotion on the last game of the season, Leeds genuinely imploded. Whereas we stormed the end, we were like the team that usually sneaks into 6th on a run except we finished 3rd.

Roll on Friday, games like this is what football is all about
  • Btw, is that the pace of the Championship now? The intensity levels in these games have been extreme.

    gulp

This is Sheffield United's second time in the Premier League since Leeds have been in the top flight

Hull too have had two different periods

Money and keeping the season alive for more teams.

    Yup; scary isn't it!!

I remember when we went up under Powell with one of our first wins coming on a Tuesday night against Leicester (might have been our first home game) and even then was amazed by the difference of the intensity and the speed the game was played; Even now I dont know how we won that game 2-1, was just played a 100 mph, can imagine its only become even faster
  • Liverpool and Leeds have both bottled it this season. What a season this could be.

To be honest this is the first time I have seen or heard of him. They won’t be re-signing him anytime soon!

Amazing work by Derby. Will certainly give Donny confidence though...

  • Got to love Scot Minto, just said ‘and on Friday at The Valley, the home of football...’ nice to see he has not forgotton his roots
  • The play-offs are unfair in that the team finishing 6th in the League can go up.

But blow that! By Christ, they are exciting!

  • Who's Scott Minto?
  • Minty Scotto said what?
  • A little bit of a wake up call to anyone who thinks it’s a forgone conclusion on Friday . Well done Derby
Donny have only scored 7 goals in 11 away games against top half teams. If they score four at the Valley on Friday night, I will get Marvin Sordell’s face tattooed on my arse.
