I'm looking for 2 tickets for the game and had hoped to get them on the door on Friday, as travelling back from Europe for work. It sounds like I might need to formalise my plans so I dont miss out?
From what I can work out they are asking the players of they have any more people they want to bring along (and let's be honest the family and friends of players for an occasion such as this need to be considered) before working out exactly how many more tickets they have to sell
After that, they'll open up the final blocks and are hopefully Liasing with the authorities and Doncaster about the possibility of segregating the JS and selling those too
I'm as optimistic as the next person and will voice my hopes
Writing it down though when we know there is a Doncaster Rovers account on here who could easily spend a day just finding comments like that; thats doing Grant McCann's teamtalk for him
I can't imagine any player being motivated by what rival fans (or even a rival fan) thought
It would be different if Bowyer or some of the players said publicly that Doncaster were a poor team that we ought to beat easily etc
The Donny fans in the JS should be put in the blocks nearest the West Stand (unreserved) and that would free up about 1,000 seats for Charlton fans nearest the East. Not sure what the Donny fans would do for refreshments, but haven't entered that stand since about 1982.
sounds like only 1 block left in west. the other one was sold on Sunday. seems odd that one sold out almost during the match and there was no announcement about it being opened though.
they used to manage to segregate the Jimmy seed stand so it is possible. could be tricky if seats have been sold in all blocks though

Piss into a cup?
Which would replicate exactly what's served up behind the concourse bars anyway.
West Block R definitely sold out on Sunday. H is the only place left they can sell without incurring perhaps prohibitive stewarding costs for splitting the JS. If they sell those at £18, £3 of that is VAT leaving £7.50 for the FA and £7.50 to be split between the four teams so £1.875 for CAFC. Getting £1,875 for selling 1,000 tickets may not be financially viable.

Firstly, I would say it is not just about money. Secondly, I don’t think that it is right to look at the cost in isolation, but in the total cost of putting the game on. Thirdly, the split is after expenses.
At the end of the day, the club would be hoping that a good performance could persuade some to come, so the more that come the better.
Fair play to you all. Those who travelled and those looking to fill the Valley on a televised Friday night.
It is so refreshing that despite our woeful ownership and lack of competant behind the scenes management we are still able to do this. We are not, as i have feared for some time, dead in the water as a football club.
I am someone who has fallen by the wayside in attendance but i will be there in spirit along with family and friends long gone. A great effort.

The cost of stewarding comes out before the revenue split, so even if the cost of segregation was £5k you would cover it with 300 ticket sales at £20.

I presume the seats sold to Donny are not sit anywhere. This will aid identification if there is any trouble.
There would have to be some separation as normally used in the east and west stands. This reduces the number of seats that could be available.
We’re just north of Peterborough. Hope to get there by Friday so we can find a pub and watch the second leg
That wouldn't be a shock, I was surprised at about 7:30am to pass the coaches just after the Blackwall tunnel. The person driving the black coach was all over the road.

Just a pity the old twat still owns the club.

Seriously, a good initiative so well done the staff who made the decision to offer this
