Roland at a very late stage of his life has learnt the hard way about football clubs and what it means to the community. Most owners live for these days of basking in the reflected glory of "their" clubs. It must chaff his arse seeing us out in numbers enjoying the moment despite his best efforts.
But I really doubt that he really would want to attend a Wembley final with 80k others all singing and happy. He's probably got another birthday this weekend and would rather spend his time in some backwater town's cafe in Belgium.
Can @CARD just ignore him this time please? No distractions for Sunday.
Sorry, not sure if I am reading this wrong but have an issue here.
All of Cards activities (crisps in September aside that was in unity with club staff) have been focused away from the pitch all season so as to not distract the team.
We rightly, completely ignored him Friday night, an evening that was about people who care for the club and will do again Sunday.
We have supported the team the length and breadth of the country this year, some boycotting the Valley as a personal preference and others attending.
CARD are not the bad guys in this, we are all passionate supporters just like those who dont protest.
Sunday is not about Roland, I am thrilled he is not attending, fuck him.
Monday is the time we worry about him, Bowyers future, half the teams future and the prospect of starting back at the beginning again to rebuild the momentum we have created this season, inspite of him, not with him.

You have misunderstood. I did not mean CARD is a distraction at all. I meant, can we just ignore Roland, for once, as he is a distraction.

Agreed and my preference is no Roland banners and no Roland chants (unless we lose :-) Don't give him any ammunition to say his concerns were true. Once again. I'm not telling anyone what they should do. Everyone should do as they please, but personally I'd prefer a happy occasion. It doesn't happen too often for Charlton fans.
It might be pipe up Tuesday for Roland but we just don't need to hear from him this week. I'm glad he's not coming. For example, we don't want our fans singing the 'hey Roland' song instead of getting behind the team.

He has contributed towards starting this.
He has not helped. He has just made things worse.
F*ck off Jim
The one wearing the yellow tie is obviously Jimmy.
Brilliant artist, simple yet so expressive with just one wisp of yellow applied from the high-lighter.
