I think the problem with him is his ‘delusion’/ excuse that we are all soft terrorists out to get him, suits his narrative as to why his experiment has failed. It’s not him, it’s us. And he’s not going to let go of that view. And it’s now a ‘witch-hunt’. And if you spout this stuff enough, as Donald Chump knows, it starts to resonate with the ill informed or those for whom facts are just a bit too boring to bother with.
But for the next few days, at least Charlton is back with the people that actually matter.

I hope everyone just enjoys the next few days while we can, and they end up reminding us all how great it can be to support this club and we stand there on Sunday proud of who and what we are.

Thought Jim White was trying too hard to sensationalise the reason of Roland not being at Wembley. The bloke has been to what one game in 5 years! Did he turn up at the FA QF at Sheffield? What a terrible show that is, White went way down in my book yesterday. Still saying he hears something is close on the sale front. He has as much clue as us about that.4

If Roland has received direct personal threats that is out of order and a matter for the Police. All of the groups protesting against him would distance themselves from threats of violence against him. You cannot legislate for the odd nutter, but he could have odd nutters who are unhappy at business deals. He does not at any time directly reference any threats!
The fact is, Roland is mad, but not mad enough not to know that coming to Wembley will not help his investment. It would be an unwelcome distraction. Given he has no interest in football or Charlton, why would he want to do that?1 -
