Better team won, by far the better team as well

What a way to win a game like that. Absolutely shattered coach just at tilbury. Might treat myself to some Ketamine when I get home

Words can’t describe how happy I am after that
All the best to Sunderland and their gracious fans after the game but just like 1998 we really needed promotion more than they did
Im going on holiday tomorrow so can’t go too
    mad tonight
A day to remember for me and the boy

Just realized something. The season started with a 2-1 defeat at Sunderland where they scored on a very last minute goal. The season ended with a 2-1 win over Sunderland with a very last minute goal. Funny old sport this is
We took the lead that day... they took the lead today

Very ironic way to end the season as that last minute winner on the opening day was very undeserved

As promised in the event of victory, Charlton Aesthetic has applied a layer of glitter to my face. To Woolwich!

I’m gonna take some credit for the win, I put a few bets on Sunderland to win knowing that whenever I bet on anything, my bets always lose.

Even had £50 on a draw at full time.

Yep, Bauer ensures every single bet lost as I had been hoping for all game COYR

If Shitweasel was watching on a stream somewhere and he must realise just what a complete mess he has made of being our owner.
Far to late for him to make amends now so all that is left is for him to sell.
Do it now Roland and give any new owner time to prepare properly for next season.

I have just had a really weird dream.
Nabby Sarr scored an own goal after a few minutes when he passed the ball past Phillips yet we came back to win with goals from Purrington and BFG in the last minute.

Why are dreams so crazy ?

I put £70 on Sunderland. Insurance money - happy to write it off.

Cullen was the best player on the pitch but Pratley was the heart of the team to get back into it after the own goal
    Pratley was bloody everywhere!!

Thought it took a while for Williams to get into the game and felt we missed Darren's energy for the last 10 mins as Sunderland were pressing and we were just hoofing it clear

Lol, I made absolutely sure by having around £200 on Sunderland to win across a range of bets. No way they could win after that.

Quite simply the best ever moment of supporting Charlton in 41 years.

I gave it my all. We won.
    This..

..Except seconds after the winner I snapped my 45 year old achiles and ended up wheelchaired to the Wembley hospital where I met similarly afflicted Addicks and Sunderland fans wounded from fighting with each other.

In the round, I think that beats 98. So proud of this club!

Absolutely knackered, on the train home, and I was only watching! Williams seemed to make the difference and create attacking opportunities. Our defenders certainly are good at getting the ball into the net!

Williams transformed the game ... so obvious that he scared them
  • What a game! My heart sunk when the og went in but I knew we could come back from that.
The first goal was pure class and Sunderland had nothing going forward, their only last Hope was throwing McGeady on which failed with our solid defence.
So chuffed for all the boys and LB.
    We are back!!!!
Lets get the numbers through the doors and keep the atmosphere that we have recreated

Williams was pukka when he came on but I think it was the right choice to bench him and let him come on against a tiring Sunderland.

I've celebrated like that 3 times.
Leeds at St Andrews, Wembley 98 and today.
    Epic.
    I love you Charlton.

OK, I'm a superstitious bastard, but I'd baulk at splashing out to that extent :-)
