    God help us
  • I would assume that the current management team have plans to sort this. However they also have a black line through their name. If they are allowed to go then yes indeed, “God help us”

A few words of comfort for those who have already bought season tickets for 2019-20.

Don't worry - no black line (yet) through Tommy Driesen.  So when he's finished drooling over OUR cup, I'm sure he'll be back to his computer, finding us the next Christophe Lepoint, Yohann Thuram-Ulien, and Piotr Parzszek to fill the gaps.

    Roland Out!
  • We had a squad of 24 which is now down to 10 - looking good!

Makes for grim reading as it stands that's for sure.
Hopefully Bowyer will be given a new contract sooner rather than later  and deals can start being don.
    Many thanks Scoham.

Not even into June yet so I'm not worried. LB will sign a new contract next week & SG will be recommending players to him.

Expect to see a lot of changes within the next 6 weeks.

So we effectively need to sign 14 players this summer (and a management team).

How many did we sign in summer 2011?

    12 perhaps?

    Sixteen, source The Guardian 21/8/11:

Charlton, who owe their existence and home to the common man after a seven-year exile from 1985, take pains to keep in touch. "In signing 16 players this summer we've had to take wage capping into account," explains the chief executive, Stephen Kavanagh, to fans. At this level none cost anything worth disclosing. Fewer left on the same basis, though Carl Jenkinson went to Arsenal for £1m.

Need to sign a keeper on a free, don't want to use up a loan on one.

Never seen Kenneth Yao play centre-back, usually RB sometimes LB.  Isn't Carey a striker, and who was the defender guy we just signed?

Don't know why fosu is being kept on. Just my personal opinion but don't think he is a good enough player for championship unfortunately

Knowing the old git, the new offers will be less than what they are already on now.

Fosu is still young enough to get a development fee for, I assume he won't sign it anyway.

OS calls Yao a CB but Carey a striker. I thought Carey was an attacking midfielder but that’s from what I read a few years back.

Do you mean the player from West Ham, I thought someone said he was a CM? If someone can find his name we can add him in.

Well concidering that he averages 17 per season over the last 5 seasons he is in for a bit of a shock when he signs his next contract.
