player interacts with fans and shows his personality and people don’t like it.

cut the bloke some slack not done anything to cause any issues.

We’re on the bones of our ass desperate to stay up and in this league and there’s a player rightfully calling out abusive possibly racist fans?

Then posting pics of his old club and posting a pic of a contract - don’t think we can be that upset really

Open the dictionary to "overreaction" and they have a link to this thread.

He's a self-confident guy and he doesn't suffer fools, good for him.

There is absolute zero chance he is going anywhere, he wouldn't be this disrespectful to announce he was leaving like this

Despite the fact he plays for Charlton and he's been brilliant for us I think Taylor can be a bit of a knob
Yeh but he's our knob

I think he is an excellent role model, articulate, passionate and an all round genuine nice bloke.

Lyle’s new contract will be announced shortly, no way would he have convinced his mate to join to then bugger off

Personally, I like that Lyle tweets like a human being and not as the carefully scripted media training program tells them to.  There’s no “end of the day I’m just happy the team got three points” he goes straight in off the cuff, I think it’s quite refreshing.

Proper show off , climbing up the steps at Wembley to get pics with fans in wheelchairs.

That's lovely Martin & his Mum who ALWAYS come to our POTY dinners.

    Smashing family.

Bet they were over the moon when Lyle paid them an unexpected visit !

Always makes an effort to come over to fans at away games, does things like the photo above and visiting the elderly Charlton who sadly passed away recently. The bloke is class act and the bed wetters who lose their shit at him on Twitter are pathetic.

Agreed.  Same Lyle who was at Betty Hutchins wake and went round the room shaking hands with everyone who was in attendance.  Social media can sometimes give us a warped view of a person as we pick up only a tiny part of their lives.

Just love the bloke so much. Really looking forward to seeing how he copes in the Championship and dare I say it, how he will wind up Millwall. Great bloke from what I have seen, have a great pic of him and Banstead Jnr together. Horrible player to play against, brilliant when he is in your side.

Lyle Gets the fans and the importance of bonding the favs and players and to me seems like a genuine good bloke.

I watched the donny playoff away game back the other day. After the match him and aribo are being interviewed for sky and when it finishes he goes off in the direction of the fans to thank them aribo started heading towards the tunnel and Lyle gives him a shout and reminds him to come and thank the fans.

Things like that are not fake or put on and to a sad person like me mean a lot when you have travelled the country for a away game.

why as Charlton fans do we have to attack each other for having an opinion getting photos with disabled fans, dying his hair pink to raise money for charity - nobody is attacking him for that for fuck sake well if they are they need a dig.

we are in a very nervy position we've just been dicked by gills - yes pre season but atm with the sqaud we have we are staring down the barrel at relegation - the fact we get annoyed by him not confirming he has signed a new contract - does that not show that we like him and think v highly of him?

the abusive fans i don't get but if they have been racist in any manner i hope they are dealt with appropriately as there really is no place for it.

as i said earlier and can see my opinion has annoyed a few - the hero/legend status for me isn't quite there yet - yes had a fucking unreal season but hope he pushes on - does that make me a "bed wetter" i don't know and don't really care.

Yes can see him winding up millwall players and then get sent off when the millwall centre half hits him.As is the case when we play them tossers.

    Have a word with yourself.
