    Been up it 3 times...can't ever recall  queuing for more then 1/2 hour. That said the last time I went up was over 20 years ago.

    We will have passport but would prefer to take provisional licence then not so much hassle trying to get back if the licence is lost or stolen

    Provisional licenses aren’t generally accepted as ID here, no reason why the French would accept it unless they don’t appreciate it’s a provisional.

    Went up the Eiffel some 40 years ago, in those days, the lift took us up to near the top, but you had to walk the last bit.

    Take a photocopy of passport or photo on your phone.

    It is but in the real we have 3D printers nowadays or cast or mould it.

    Its just a bit of showboating by the machine tool company and the programmer.
