The U18s won this evening's FA Youth Cup tie vs. West Ham on penalties.They fell behind three times, but fought back on each occasion to draw 3-3 - Chin, French and Santos scores the goals. The shootout wen to sudden death and ended up 5-4.Blackburn or Newport (away) in the 4th round.7

The way out injury list has piled up this season it wouldn’t surprise me if we turned up at QPR next week and they were on the benchScoham said:I saw them in pre-season away v Eastbourne United. We had some promising players, but no one stood out in the way I remember Shelvey did when I saw him in those type of games. Defenders and goalkeepers it's a bit harder to judge as they were only up against non-league players. I won't be expecting any of them to be in and around the first team in the next year or two like others in the past have been.0 -
On Valley Pass one of the selling points is highlights from below first team level.
A few weeks ago we played Watford at the Valley and won 3-0 with some bonny goals (I was there) but those and other highlights are not put out there as yet.
I mention the Watford game in particular because at that time we were struggling for players, and fans might have been interested in the performances of players such as Oztumer, Docherty, Davison and Vennings.
Maybe there is a reason for not showing recent highlights when they are fresh and relevant on the club's paid for service.

As long as they are not exposed too early as Vennings and Doherty are being at the moment there might be. I like the young keeper, and watch the U18 video, that Santos scores a lovely goal. I have been seeing less lately due to the games at dartford. Bolloxbolder is your man.0

Not able to watch the 18's but from reports it appears potential stars are midfielders Luca Albon and Aaron Henry. That's all I know.0

My ITK source* says Santos was born in Stratford on 3.1.03. He's been at Charlton since U8 level.
His coaches describe him as a real maverick who loves a one on one and being creative.
Billy French is a Sidcup boy born 27.11.01. A leader from the back line who enjoys the physical side of the game.
Richard Chin is a Beth's Grammar school lad as well as a dynamic box to box player. Born 15.10.02

To come back 3 times and then still win the penalty shoot out against a Premiership academy shows a fantastic desire and determination. There must be a good smattering of winning attitudes in that squad.
