Huddersfield are going to stay up, so would be best they get that over and done with especially when they play another relegation rival that will mean they’re almost gone.
If Luton lose tonight, they would then have to win their last 3 games just to hit 50 points with a much worse goal difference. That’s highly unlikely as 3 wins on the spin at this stage of the season when you’re bottom of the league, doesn’t matter who you’re against, just ain’t going to happen.
A Huddersfield win tonight almost confirms Luton’s relegation in my eyes.
We need to stop worrying about dragging as many teams as possible into the shit, pick three teams to go down and pray. At the moment Barnsley, Luton, Hull and sort of Stoke are below us, so I don't care how shonky Huddersfield are looking or what Birmingham's form looks like, I want Barnsley, Luton, Stoke and Hull to bin off as many points as mathematically possible so we don't have to rely on our side scoring goals in football matches. Every match can be a loss for those teams, except for when Hull play Luton where I hope they draw, or pending the introduction of a controversial new EFL rule, they both lose.

My thinking too. All you need to do is to keep 3 teams below you. If you already have 3 (and in our case atm there are 4) then job done. If they dont pick up anymore points then we don't need to either, so no worries if we dont do very well in our last 4 games.
In reality I think we need another 4 points. 5 to be absolutely safe.

Add Wigan to that list. They still have to play Barnsley and Hull.
Jimmy Greenhoff, Alan Hudson, Gordon Banks, bobmunro, your boys took one hell of a beating.
For the record, and for the avoidance of doubt, I may be the HR Director but Stoke City are most certainly not my boys!
I was cheering every goal that went in yesterday.
Serious question. If someone from the football club saw you posting stuff like this, wouldn't they get a little upset?
The vast majority of the people at the club, from the Chairman down, know my affiliation.
Ideally Stoke and us stay up, but if it's either/or then Peter and John Coates, Tony Scholes et al would want Charlton relegated, and they know and accept that I would want the reverse!
I’d be interested to see whether theres a correlation between teams with nothing to play for, i.e on the beach and a dip in form. I suspect its a myth.

It is certainly factored in when pricing a match - but the nervousness of the side needing something is usually offset by the relaxation of the side with nothing to play for.
The biggest factor of course in having a side who have no consequence to the result is the team picked.

I suppose there is also the issue where a player might be more likely to avoid injury. Crazy I know and I'm sure I can't think of any player who would do that, but imagine for instance a striker, lets call him Kyle Tatler, who decides that despite being paid to do a job actually flakes out completely, like a school child in the last week of term.
How on earth did we lose 4-0 to this lot, they're terrible.
It wasn't a 4-0 hammering as such, we weren't that special but capitulated from the 90th minute onwards. I was on the way for a pee for their third and the fourth went in on the way to the car.
Nope.... Hudders are still awful... Campbell looks a nutter and seems to want to be sent off and poor old Karlan is playing so deep he's almost in Barnsley! Luton look way better.

Are we watching the same game
They haven't even had shot in that first half.
Yes Huddersfield have been poor, but in no way can you say Luton look way better, both teams have played terrible so far and need to improve in the second half but if a team is gonna score it looks more like Huddersfield
