Took a cab to the event, turns out the driver was George Tucodeans cousin, who works in CID
Johnnie Jackson- future manager of Charlton, FACT!
This was the 3rd time I think hearing Johnnie speak I think, (stalker alert) but the first time I’d heard him speak as a coach, very good speaker , honest, and a good speaker, but doesn’t give too too much away, or stitch people up too much.
I think just let him sort out Brexit, shouldn’t be too much of a problem for him, has a calm and pleasant manner, I think he even had a cup of tea as his tipple for the evening!
For anyone who hasn’t seen this, (it’s 15 minutes long, but we’ll worth a watch).
Johnnie ran the London marathon in 3 hours 53 minutes, and Is running it again in 2020 with the fella he ran it with this year and also Grant Basey, to raise funds for Demelza house.
Splendid stuff. The club is in good hands with JJ and Andy ..and, of course, Lee and Steve. I got well and truly soaked cycling there, but I'm glad I went. I had every confidence that the guests were worth hearing. At the end, I had a chat with Andy Marshall about VO2 Max / Ramp, and Lactate threshold tests. Wowzers. Thank you, Bromley Addicks.
Really interesting evening. Knew JJ was good but did not realise Andy was so articulate.
Steve Gallen is in regular contact by phone with Duchatelet.
They are very very pleased with the great atmosphere created over the last year, emphasisIng how much it is appreciated.
Among others, Solly, Gallagher and Darren Pratley (my hero) got special mention.
They intend to 'freshen up' the squad this coming window.
We have a ' tactics analyst ' sitting high up, in contact with AM. For example if he sees the oppo's are overloading our left hand side, he will inform AM who passes it on to JJ.
Have to admit the analyst's name was mentioned, and, I've forgotten it.
My thanks to the Bromley committee, they keep on coming up with the goods.

Grant is a big lad too.
