Fulham seems to be a bit of a bogey team for us.

I'd be ecstatic with a point.
    100% this

Think we could actually see Pratley move into the central of defence as it will also allow us to push him into midfield if needed during the game. Unsure whether Matthews will be okay enough to play again on Saturday, but if not, Oshilaja to come in for him. At some point Cullen and Gallagher are going to need a rest, both of them and Lockyer have not had the chance really to be rested. Hopefully when Kayal is fit, we will be able to rotate the middle two in midfield a bit more. Think it would be harsh to drop Bonne, but can I really see him playing three 90 minutes in a week? That's a tough ask.

Unforunately, with now having 6 players out injured, having a whole day less to prepare and rest, and Fulham's ridiculous squad for this level, I think it's going to be too much for us on Saturday.

    Phillips
    Lockyer Pratley Sarr
    Matthews Cullen Gallagher Solly
    Aneke Williams
    Leko

Amos, Pearce, Oshilaja, Field, Forster-Caskey, Oztumer, Bonne

    Fulham 2-0 Charlton Athletic
Think Matthews has played LB more and more adequately across his career than Solly (though I actually felt that Solly did alright at LB last season). I would give JFC a start ahead of Gallagher, think he needs a rest. Agree with the rest.
Matthews can play left back and has so quite well during his career. However, Solly is the better and more solid defender, so I think he can deal with Knockaert better than Matthews probably will. I do agree Gallagher needs a rest, he has played so much for a 19 year old in his first experience of senior football. Just feel with his tenacity, application, and attitude, I can’t see Bowyer not playing him against a Fulham side who will have the majority of the ball.
Not only has he featured in every league game, Gallagher has played the full 90 in every one other than Blackburn at the start of the season. He presumably won't get a break during the international break either.

The idea of Solly at left-back makes me shudder. Was painful to watch at times last year, and that was against limited opposition.

  • Comfortable away win 4-0.
If it is a comfortable 4-0 win, I fear it will be the other way. Call me a pessimist if you wish.
  • Bowyer played 58 games for us, Parker 145. It's a shame that the way he exited the club tarnished in some eyes his massive contribution to the club while he was here, but then things change and time is a great healer.

Yeah certainly been that way for me... I hated Parker with a passion for a long time after he left us

Becoming England Captain (albeit briefly) and winning PFA Player of the Year left me proud of him though and hope he has a good Managerial career

I'm just disappointed it took him longer to achieve those accolades than it should have done as Chelsea stalled his career

Its another reason why I didnt want Aribo going to Rangers as really hope we dont see similar there
  • Outside chance of Field at left back? Slotted in there on wednesday and is left footed. Though given Bowyer's comments I expect it will be Oshilaja.
  • No shame in parking two buses and digging some trenches for this one after two very tough games and a few injuries. Maybe use tear gas if necessary.

Put Leko up on his own and try to scrape a 0.0.

Worry we might just fold on this one. Every game we play like it's the FA Cup final but we cant keep that intensity all season.

I would love to do this:

               Phillips
    Solly Lockyer Pearce  Sarr
       Cullen pratley field
       Gallagher Williams
                 Aneke
With Bonne & leko to scare them behind in the 2nd half if we manage to hold out.

I recon we will probably see:

                   Phillips
    Solly Lockyer Sarr Matthews
                  Pratley
             Cullen Gallagher
                 Williams
               Leko Bonne

2-0 at half time ending 4-0 Fulham

At least 3 of the goals coming through utter class

    Pratley
    Gallagher, Cullen
    Williams
    Aneke, Leko

    A gutting 2-1 defeat.
  • It's going to be an unexpected 2-0 win. Goals from Pearce and a header from Ozy.

  • Probably the least confident I've felt ahead of a match so far this season. Injuries plus tired players, will take a mammoth effort to get a result here. By result I mean a draw which I'd be delighted with. Players will give their all though I'm sure which is all we can ask for.
  • we'll nick this one in the 67th minute 1:0
    Gallagher
  • Can’t see us getting anything from Saturday. Just hope we can keep the score down. 3-0 Fulham
  • Everything points to a defeat but that’s not the first time we’ve felt that this season. Wouldn’t be that surprised if we turned them over. We’re good at the backs to the wall stuff and there will be s lot of that tomorrow COYR!!!!!
  • Makeshift defence. Attack recently impotent.

    Fulham 3 - Charlton 0
  • We are going to need to be as good defensively as we were against Leeds so we ought to go with the same defence for me.
  • Not sure they're clicking as well as some believe.

    Going 1-1
  • This could be so tough after the Swansea defeat. I would settle for a good performance but I fear the worst. 4-0 Fulham but keep the faith.
  • 3-0.
Cant see us creating much, nor anybody to convert should we.

For anybody watching in South Africa, its on Supersport 11.
