If Davison goes for £250k, then no wonder Morecambe wanted £650k for StocktonFerryman said:
Wimbledon mate reckons around £250k! They're saying it broke their transfer record which was previously £180k.shirty5 said:

Imagine breaking the bank for Josh Davison then watching him play

Imagine getting a new manager who pays a club record fee for Josh Davison and then signs Chris Gunter6
-
200k+ for Davison is decent going if true.0
-
Good luck to him but I am glad it is not my club who has broken their transfer record to sign him! If £250K is true then I worry about JJ's judgement!0
-
As if we got that much for him. Probably 50k.2
-
Someone involved at Wimbledon told me £160k.6

Seems about right, in the middle of the optimists and pessimists guessesAirman Brown said:Someone involved at Wimbledon told me £160k.

Without wanting to stir anything up…what’s the guesstimate of what we made on out going transfers (Davison) and former player % sell ons (Pope, doughty) this summer?0

That sounds more reasonable. But they're reporting that it broke their transfer record.Airman Brown said:Someone involved at Wimbledon told me £160k.0 -
That's quite a bit for him! Shame we didn't reuse the fee. Shambolic in fact.0
-
Which is still way more than I expected us to get for him. I was expecting the fee to be "nominal"Airman Brown said:Someone involved at Wimbledon told me £160k.2 -
You do realise that free transfers are not free? Signing on fees, agent fess.mendonca said:That's quite a bit for him! Shame we didn't reuse the fee. Shambolic in fact. How much of that fee would we have received up front? Is it in instalments, games played, promotion etc?1 -
They sold Rudoni to Huddersfield for about 800k i think.killerandflash said:AFC Wimbledon are on a very tight budget, as all their money went on the new stadium and I believe they sold a number of multiyear season tickets so won't have that income again this year0 -
I do realise that and blend it with frustration, hence my comment.Todds_right_hook said:

Anyone else read the thread title as "Joy Division - sold to Wimbledon' ?

If the fee was a record, which my source also said, the quoted amount would be fixed. It might be paid in instalments but that’s irrelevant.Todds_right_hook said:

It’s also possible their previous record was not accurately recorded.2 -
That’s the figure Cawley has reported today.Airman Brown said:Someone involved at Wimbledon told me £160k.

so, the only fee we paid to a football club was to Swindon for Garner & his crew. Was he supposed to be the replacement striker...... 2

Reunited with Nigel AdkinsScoham said:2 -
Had a very below average season last year. I think he has done well to get another contract in the football league but as he is running out of former managers to sign for, I suspect that this will be his last0
-
Still attracting small fees, rather than joining a new club when out of contract.0
-
Agree it’s probably his last opportunity but I think Tranmere is a great move for him. Adkins doing a lovely job up there and he’s recruiting really well this summer. One of my tips for top 3 this year.Todds_right_hook said:Had a very below average season last year. Good luck Josh. Whatever weaknesses he may have, one of his strengths is being a trier.25
