Which is still way more than I expected us to get for him. I was expecting the fee to be "nominal"

You do realise that free transfers are not free? Signing on fees, agent fess. 

How much of that fee would we have received up front? Is it in instalments, games played, promotion etc?

If the fee was a record, which my source also said, the quoted amount would be fixed. It might be paid in instalments but that’s irrelevant.

You don’t include contingent amounts until they are triggered. It’s also possible their previous record was not accurately recorded.

Agree it’s probably his last opportunity but I think Tranmere is a great move for him. Adkins doing a lovely job up there and he’s recruiting really well this summer. One of my tips for top 3 this year.
