To suggest she was anything other than a complete failure is laughable. As people have said, we are better now with no CEO than we were under her tenure.
I think we're conflating two different things here. Our mini-revival since 2017 has meant that the players who left us (Poyet, Gomez, Lookman, Konsa, Ahearne-Grant, Aribo, Dijksteel) no longer look quite so significant...if we'd stayed in League One or dipped even to League Two we'd think differently I'm sure. And of course it's hard to see what Poyet, Ahearne-Grant and Dijksteel in particular have gained by leaving. (Other than ££££).
Meire has had nothing to do with our revival, which is down to Duchatelet letting the club run on auto as he tries to "sell" it.
