Only real positive to come out of it was Taylor getting 45 under his belt and Middlesbrough’s finishing being woeful - a better team would have tonked us today. Think Bowyer needs to take a bit of responsibility after that..... Playing Ledley was a risk given his lack of game time and the fact that we have a makeshift squad at the moment. He also didn’t set us up very well for the first half - the formation was doomed from the off. Purrington and Pearce (is he capable of doing anything without a handful of an opponents shirt?) on the left is a real worry, the alternative is Sarr (poor bloke didn’t play today and I’m about to slaughter him) and that’s an even bigger worry. I know Bowyer is down to the bare bones and can’t name a settled line up, but the dross that was served up today (particularly in the first half) is inexcusable - Middlesbrough have similar injuries, and whilst they were poor, we were a lot lot worse.
We need need that takeover done and dusted ASAP. I know it won’t help us in the transfer market for a few weeks, but it will give the whole club a lift and the feel good factor will be there. Also, those players that are underperforming should be looking over their shoulders nervously knowing we can spend and replace them in Jan - so bit of a kick up the back side. It’s not all doom and gloom but we really do need to stop the rot.
Also, we need Williams back - he is the one player that will take the game to opponents, we severely lack that when he isn’t about.
Appalling first half. Only marginally better second half. We look devoid of confidence. Where is that Charlton/Bowyer spirit? We were given the runaround by a Boro side that are themselves struggling.
Only positives are:
1. Young Albie did well when he came on. 2. Lyle got some much needed game time. He looked as rusty as hell but still better than most of our team. 3. It is, hopefully, the last shitty game we'll play under the shitty ownership of Duchatelet.
We should get a positive lift from completion of the takeover, Lockyer back from suspension, more players back from injury and maybe one or two quality reinforcements in January. We badly need an upturn in fortunes. We've been in relegation form for several weeks now.
A long time since I've been so cross at end of match. That was abysmal. I wonder if the future uncertainty is getting to them? V disappointed in the senior pros - Pearce, Pratley, Matthews. We miss Cullen so much.

What future uncertainty?
If you're talking about the takeover, I am certain it will not matter a jot whether it goes through or not to the players.
I feel we need a snowstorm to do Lapland proud and not a shitstorm where players are slagged off. So we can have a couple of weeks off to get nearer to the Jan window.
Since the Derby home game, as the injuries have mounted up we are a team of strangers and the confidences has vanished.
We need partnerships all over the pitch. Taylor and Bonne to start with.

It will because some of them could end up surplus to requirements.
Hopefully the last game of it. Fitting way to go out really. Roland cleans his teeth with dog shit so only fair we give him a dog shit performance as an encore.
Glad i avoided the match thread. The Adventures of Archie the Mouse at the Brooke Theatre in Chatham for me. I salute the few who went to Smogland. We are in a right royal pickle as this form, injuries or not is infecteous. If the FA kibosh the takeover we'll be queueing at Beachy Head by March.
If the FA stop the takeover it has to be WAR. The thing that struck me about today was that when they scored so early, you could sort of predict if we had no character how the game would pan out. And there you have it, it did. The only thing is, I think you can bear the injuries for a bit and we have had some tough breaks but the team is exposed as it stands and we need players back and performing desperately.
Did the players that took out Williams and Oz even get a card?
Derby got a free kick when Williams went down injured when it should have been a foul the other way
Any Cardiff / Sheff Wed player could have been booked for damage done to Oztumer, he got taken out so much in those two games I'd be impressed if someone could work out which bastard did the worst damage

I'm certainly no medical expert but I reckon the bloke has too much muscle. Needs to stay out the gym and eat a few more pies.

It's probably a case of tightness in either the muscles or tendons. Lock him in the physio office for a month, stretch him daily, on the hour.
I fear he may be working too hard to try and get fit.
