Have you seen the Charlton life poll result mate 😂
262 votes and Labour ahead when I looked.
Then London is predominantly a Labour area so that might skew it from the national norm if most CL posters are Londoners. I have no idea where the majority of CL poster live so this is just me attempting to rationalise the latest score.
The Tories win the most seats in Parliament, it must be endured and complied with. Does not mean the Tories can't be criticised, or that Tory voters can avoid responsibility for what is to come.

Still waiting for that, from those who voted in Bliar / Brown. Which the Country is still paying for
Talking of regions for the first time ever Northern Ireland does not have a Unionist majority of MP's. The Alliance and SDLP have had a resurgence, and the agreement not to contest seats in some instances has had an effect. Sinn Fein lost a seat (they never take them up) but not to a Unionist party. So regionally London, Scotland and Northern Ireland as some areas it is possible to define are not in step with the rest of the country. It will have less significance in London, but there are factors which make Scotland and Ireland different. Boris Johnson says he will bring the country together, now he has won the shires what will he do about the cities and Northern Ireland and Scotland? Last night he gambled he can do without them, and his gamble won. However last night also entrenched the division in the areas I mention. How will Boris persuade them back, or is he and his kind calculating that the Tories can always do without certain areas of the country?
Stuck to my common sense Remain principle and voted tactically to try to unseat the loathsome gravy train arselicking public school hard right whore that’s been openly self serving for a generation. His majority was dented but he remains in Westminster fellating the evil party animals as they drag our once proud nation ever more rapidly into economic disaster ruining the lives of all but the already hugely privileged.
Bye bye NHS bye bye overseas trade bye bye foreign owned industries bye bye welfare state Eat drink and be merry for come February you won’t be able to afford to merry Christmas make the most of it cos if you ain’t at Boris’s top table it’ll be the last one just wait and see who the Tory paymasters now manoeuvre in to replace the floppy haired shagging fuckwit
Fuck me, I never knew Jeremy Corbyn was a member of Charlton Life.
I didn't vote. I am a life long Labour voter who is now unrepresented by the party. My main concern now is that Momentum and the far left will push for another leader in Corbyn's image. Meanwhile the Tory lie of 'one nation' will continue as the rich get richer and the poor, poorer ... just as it's always been.
Momentum has to be banished by the moderate centre left of the party - watching Alun Johnson on ITV with John Lansman is one of the defining moments of this election.
In my own small way I witnessed how the extreme left infiltrated into the main stream when serving as a union rep at a large telephone company. Members of the SWP or Socialist Action would get themselves elected on the shop floor (quite easy as no one else wanted to do it) and then attend every committee meeting, armed with their radical ideas born from their political leanings rather than the representation of their colleagues. Generally these dedicated people would be well versed and intelligent. Their aim was to make inroads into the broad left with a view to gain more power and bring about policies in line with their Trotskyist ideals.
I may be wrong, but I see Momentum in the same way. A party within a party, once again using the broad left as a vehicle to get where they want to be. They may be fully paid up Labour members ... but really? I have my suspicions and I don't think I'm alone there.

Yes, nothing to do with a Global credit crisis at all.

Cherrie Blair done extremely well from Tony’s human rights deal. Think they got quite a few mansions out of it. Didn’t browns lot leave a note in the safe. when they left saying the moneys all gone good luck.
Life long Labour voter but voted Lib Dem as I could never vote for Corbyn or his cronies - they do not represent my view on Socialism
Either way it was pointless as Tory MP for Dartford was always going to win
Never ever would I vote Tory
Thanks to that twat Corbyn (who has just destroyed the Labour Party) we are faced with years of Tory government run by public school educated tossers who don’t give a toss about all the working class traditional Labour voters in the Midlands and North who have helped win a huge majority
And we will probably get beat by Hull tonite - a terrible 48 hours

But too many people will buy it because the only alternative will be to go veggie
Ah so it's giving people more choice? Sounds good to me.
Buy it, or don't buy it, it won't change the price of existing chicken that isn't like that... There are no safety concerns, the EU even agrees with this.
I've never got the problem of it. It's a very emotive and strange reaction. I wouldn't have an issue with it.
I voted labour but wasn't with enthusiasm. I just couldn't bring myself to vote for Boris, even though i thought Corbyn was a terrible leader and one I couldn't relate to. What a terrible choice, horrible election. I wish we could just go back in time and stop this country eating each other up with hatred.

So much hate and anger about. Its absolute shit.
I fear it is much too late. I feel a huge amount of hatred for Tories and brexit voters, and for what I know of a considerable number of Charlton supporting posters on this forum. I am sure they feel the same way about me. I am at a loss to see how this can be changed. If I met certain Charlton supporters face to face, and knew who they were, I would not want anything to do with them. You may see that as my demon to wrestle with, I see it as being constantly on my guard.

I feel like me and you probably have similar views, but talking about hating another person is very very strong. I agree, it's hard to look past it sometimes when you know what the impact of a far right tory government will be but hatred is not healthy. An olive branch should always be offered. People will have genuine reasons for voting in the ways that they do, and sometimes they can be hard to understand

I feel that politics, in terms of getting along with people, only really matters on the internet. I've met plenty of Tories and even Trump supporters I've gotten along with like a house on fire. We're all people at the end of the day. We love our kids. We worry about them. Our backs hurt sometimes. We like football, or the same bands, or the same cities.

I am out of olive branches and the victors don't need any.

No.
We've met face to face and we know each others' broad political views over many years chewing the cud on here.
You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine.

No hate at all Seth. The opposite, I pity you if you feel like that.

I don't actually - I'm able to respect and understand that others have a different point of view.
In my last job I worked closely with a vehement Corbynista and a vocal republican - diametrically opposed from my point of view on most things outside of work. I didn't hate them, nor them me - I remain in contact with them both.
You seem to be part of the problem, believing that your view is the only right one. Ironically, given your persistent comment on it, its also the reason why the Irish border remains an issue - entrenched views that people seem reluctant to move away from.
Apologies if this comes across badly - I normally take your comments in the context of your passion, but stating that you have huge hatred for people you don't know and simply because they hold a different political outlook from you has riled me a little.

The pundits reckon it'll take around 6 or 7 years !
Hope I live that long, looking forward to the Chlorinated chicken and hormone stuffed beef.
