Think the last time i left a game that early was Yeovil away in that rain.
Mine was at QPR in the cup but prior to that was back in the 60s when my Dad dragged me out as relegation looked nailed on until Cliff Durrandt scored with a banana shot. We heard the roar go up down at the level crossing. The win was good enough to keep our survival hopes alive and survive we did.

Arsenal's downfall is directly linked to their loss of backbone - people will always remember Wenger for the way he changed them as an attacking force but he also inherited the best back five ever to play as a unit in the top flight of English football namely Seaman, Dixon, Winterburn, Adams & Bould (plus Keown too). He also has two central midfielders in the shape of Vieira and Petit who could mix it as well as play.
The subsequent Wenger's Invincibles defensively back line of Lauren, Campbell, Toure and Cole were effective too with Vieira and Gilberto sitting in front. But he never succeeded in replacing them and bought player after player with flair but no idea how to defend.
Would Wenger or his successor have ever considered, for example, buying Johnny Evans (at £3.5 million too!)? Of course not because he's not a "footballer" - he's a defender - and Arsenal would rather invest in someone like David Luiz who has at least one mistake in him every game. Or what about an Ndidi as a defensive midfielder?
All successful teams have players who can and are happy to defend. Which is why Arsenal will only ever win the odd cup - a competition that allows you to beat lower league sides in the earlier rounds and one that you only have to step up for two or three games.
Have no sympathy for 99.99% of their fanbase who have never been to the stadium and half of that 0.01% who have only been to the ground once. And that was probably on some stupid stadium tour.
Just like all those glory hunting Chelsea, Spurs, Man U etc etc fans who choose their team based upon who is doing well at the moment.

Wenger always confused me in that he loved going out for French players, but never the obvious good ones, only obscure shite. I remember after (and during) Lehmann they were desperate for a new keeper. They tried Almunia, Fabianski, Mannone, Szczesny, none of them filled the void while Hugo Lloris sat at Lyon winning the league every year and being very available. He ended up going to Spurs for £7m and he's been one of their most important players during their sort of rise. Instead he bought Squillaci to leave a hole in their defence. He needed a good holding midfielder and Kante was available for only £32m straight after Leicester won the league. He never showed an interest though, and instead went for Xhaka for the same amount. It was almost like he'd gone full hipster and was refusing the sign the obvious players in favour of discovering hidden gems. Hipsters don't win titles

This is not a particular endorsement of Arsenal. I know several genuine Arsenal fans who go, live in N London and know from experience that their "glory days" were the exception not the rule. I've a softer spot for them than most of the rest of the Sky 6. However, my view on where the Stripeys should be is playing regular derbies against Dulwich Hamlet (and losing).
They are terrible and I'm loving every minute of it.
They'll always be the team that betrayed South London for me. I have lots of Arsenal mates who are solid good guys, but a lot of their fans deserve what they're getting, booing whenever they're not winning, like they're entitled to win every game.

Rapturous scenes when Welbeck scored a last minute winner against Leicester the season Leicester won the title, the game took place in February. They had turned the corner when Wenger got that gritty result up at the Etihad a few years ago, that was very Mourinho like in approach, their fans convinced they could adapt, only for the fight for 4th place to overpower any sort of dignity in trying to change the way they played. Wenger himself, so stuck in his ways, that he could not change his approach and imo, his arrogance that Arsenal could still walk the ball into the net, regardless of the fact it was no longer Fabregas, Van Persie and Henry spearheading the attack, and that they had been replaced by Welbeck, Walcott and Giroud.
Ozil, the wettest, weakest player ever to grace the Premiership who wrote about the time in his autobiography that he almost cried when Mourinho subbed him and had a go at him at Real Madrid. Sanchez who showed signs of brilliance and class, but sulked to get a move away because he thought he was better and the club just let it happen. The fanbase that still laud the 20 man passing move and that goal they scored against Norwich at home who got relegated that season, as if they were about to see an invincible revival. Clinging to the invincibles to this day. This is despite the fact 6 or 7 teams have yielded more points totals in the history of the Premiership than the total that the invincibles achieved. It was a fantastic achievement, but one that has given the whole club a misguided sense of belief that style is better than substance, and plays out everyday.

I know they have their haters, but they go to every single game home and away so their opinions certainly count, but anyone who watches AFTV will know that to a man, they pretty much all lay the blame firmly at the door of Stan Kroenke.
Arsenal have gone backwards under his ownership and last year when he bought out Usmanov, it was a disaster for Arsenal fans as they wanted Usmanov to buy out Kroenke.
They need a new owner and new leadership and to start again with a new direction. Changing the manager isn't going to do much as he'll still have Luiz, Mustafi and Sokratis as centre backs.
