He was talking to them last week but the Powell involvement is a surprise, for sure.

Not sure how working with that scumbag will help Chris Powell.

Smacks of Pardew trying to polish his image to me.

Probably easier to polish a turd.

Needs to learn to speak English first - I believe his first language is bollox.

Den Haag must have money to burn, and Pardew will burn it all right.

Wonder if Pardew will stop speaking bollocks like he always has?

    Nah - no chance.

If only there was a useful turd-related polishing comment I could add.

You can probably polish a turd if you freeze it first
  • A surprising role for both to take really, surprised Powell is happy again to be No 2 (he did that role at Derby as well)

Because England don't play 40 odd games a season it's a part time role, which is the same for Jason Euell who I believe does some coaching with the England youths.

    This is ridiculous.

It's equivalent to The Corrs making the weird brother their frontman and plastering his face all over their album covers instead of the fit sisters.

How is Chris Powell reporting to Alan Pardew? Chris Powell should be in charge, someone else should be his assistant, Alan Pardew should be running an unsuccessful cleaning business covering Sutton, Purley and Coulsdon.

Will end in tears, and unfortunately SCP's reputation will end up being tarnished by association. Get out of there Chris, you're better than that.

How strange......just doesn’t sound right does it.......two very different characters.
I wonder how long it will last?

Anyone know what the Den Haag players wives look like?

I'm sure Pardew does by now.

Actually you can, but you just end up with shiny shit.

  • Both are clever enough to know that in the management game now, you have to stay active and involved, or end up like Curbs. Worth the gamble for both of them and could well lead to something better in the UK.
