A lot of things don't add up in this case. Its astonishing that 3 healthy, able bodied people can just drown in a small, calm swimming pool at a resort.
People survive for hours in rough, treacherous seas and are often plucked to safety.
The haste with which the so called investigation took place and the pool reopening is very concerning. Now they all want the case closed and forgotten about.
After watching 999 when younger and cases of girl getting ponytail trapped in the pump/filter... always look at them when going swimming to work out how exactly anyone can get sucked in... this case is even stranger, a 16yr old boy and grown man? Doesn't add up.

A lot more to this yet. Would parents allow their non-swimming daughter in to the pool in the first place?!, I expect not.
Maybe the police thought they could cover it up easily over Christmas and had assumed they were not British citizens.
