    Feel my love - Adele

Original songs both by Bob Dylan.
One of the best covers of any song I've ever heard & one of the very few that are better than the original

Never had any time for U2, but Johnny Cash's 'One' made me overcome my perfectly reasonable predudice.
    Heart rending lyrics...

    Money - Flying Lizards.
Great version, best for me is by Richard Popcorn Wylie, a Motown release soon after the original by Barrett Strong also on Motown. Bizarre they thought they could get a hit so soon after the original release.

Didn't know how to classify it, was in tears so didn't care...

A bit like James Blake's: 'Radio silence'

and Bill Withers, 'Hope she'll be happier with him'

Too late to rename the thread, but good point.

  • Looks like Disturbed ....Sound of Silence wins it........8 likes so far :)
  • Jealous Guy - Roxy Music
  • Some great suggestions, some unbeatable, But stumbled upon this recently. It reminded me of how much I liked All The Young Dudes (Mott the Hoople) when it was first released.
This live version comes from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert and features Ian Hunter, David Bowie and Mick Ronson, who was seriously ill at the time.
