  • How can you postpone a football match because of a bit of wind?
  • They could have taken that decision last night on the basis of the forecast!  Many Wet shammers  will be well on their way to Manchester by now. Ridiculous.
  • Good for West ham that, means it'll be rescheduled for later in the season when City will have a pile up of fixtures once the champions league restarts.

Learnt their lesson after lasagnagate a few years ago.
  • In that case, I’m going to have to watch another comedy. Any recommendations?

Millwall v West Brom is still on apparently.  Surprised about that but I suppose they have an image to uphold.
" No wind likes us, we don't care "
    ‘Cause they’re hard.

I wish there was a screwed up angry face with expletive button on here lol

Obviously not because of the actual game, but i'd assume safety issues in surrounding areas with things falling over/collapsing on fans going to the game.

Same as in icy weather, when the pitch is ok because of under soil heating, but it gets called off because roads/pavements are iced up and dangerous for fans.

  • I can see them going down today if they are in a rowing boat anywhere.
  • Oh ffs, I triple-captained Aguero in my fantasy team for this match!!
I had KDB as C, and Aguero as VC. What's going to happen with that? Seems unfair if the game gets moved to another game week that not only do I lose out on points this week, but others get the benifit of getting City players in for a double game week.
  • It's a shame it was called off, I fancied City to pulverise them 6-0. They would have been really fired up after Pep's comments post Tottenham about refreshing the team for next season.

Bet they're now on their hollibobs , bless their cotton socks !
  • Cheers @PragueAddick I'd assumed this was just something I'd missed being announced but apparently not. Keep fighting the good fight.

I expect Gavros will resurface on here soon after any enquiry about it becomes public!
  • From today's Mirror.  Headline: Passion of Upton Park to a toxic, soulless bowl.  The fans were sold a dream by the Brady bunch but now it's a NIGHTMARE.

Can this finally shut up those Charlton fans who keep going on about a new poncy stadium.

    THE VALLEY IS OUR HOME.
The only move I would ever want is the peninsula but again we are miles away from that and I would want it to replicate the valley. The valley extension is perfect from what I have seen and would be more than enough for our fan base. Peninsula is a pipe dream if we ever get to the point where we have 5x more fans than seats

On a side note I think Bowen is a top signing, West Ham have signed some right slop over the years but I don't believe he falls into that category, we will find out
No to the Peninsular. No. Valley Floyd Road.
  • An article about West Ham written years ago, when they were in trouble (are they ever not)  included an opinion that went something like this ..
'the trouble with West Ham is that they can no longer call on four diamond geezers from Gidea Park to have a battle in midfield for them, they need more sophisticated football brains' .. (unquote)
I paraphrase but that was the gist .. the trouble now is that they have too many expensively assembled and overpaid sub standard midfielders defenders and attackers from all around the globe who are NOT prepared to have  battle, no matter the size of their brains .. perhaps a few more diamond geezers like Mark Noble are required

    New development announced today
    Who's gonna pay for it?

OR they could resign from all football competition and train their squad to race each other around a running track...  That would work!

After all, they are half way there this season right?
  • I thought they were only going to use the stadium for prem matches @PragueAddick ?

  • The goalkeeping was terrible in that clip.
  • I did say to tell them, as a taxpayer, you own the ground.
