Would people be at critical of ESI if we were still teetering on the edge of the play offs, regardless of 6 month agreements etc? Genuinely just asking
No, but that would have meant that their strategy of prioritising the January window ahead of completing the purchase of the ground would have worked. It hasn’t (so far).
This doesn't include last season, when Millwall beat the drop with 44 points.
We have 11 points from our last 10 games (3 wins, 2 draws). Another 11 points from our next 10 games would give us a total of 50 points, which may or may not be enough.
If we could win one more game in the next 10 than we did in the last 10, we would finish on 53 points, which I think would see us safe, especially if we get decent results against Middlesbrough and Hull. So I think 4 wins and 2 draws from our next 10 keeps us up.

I thought their strategy was to be in control for the transfer window, considering RD wouldn't have done any business at all, due to the fact the takeover was going through at some point after the wondow. Whether those players signed over that period have turned out to be any good, is another matter imo, and more down to Gallen and Bowyer.
Of course, if everything that is going on is a load of bs and they don't have the money to buy the assets, then they've obviously gone out their way to lie, but I can't see how anybody can know that until such a time when they have or haven't completed the purchase of the assets and they have or haven't signed a few decent, permanent signings

As much as that?
That's a bit of a big ask of you ask me. Now I'm really worried!

To be clear, I think 4 wins and 2 draws keeps it in our hands, without having to worry much about what the other teams do. I'm not saying I think that's the minimum needed to avoid relegation.
4 wins, especially if they 3 of them are over our immediate rivals Boro, Hull and Wigan should do it, but that’s a big ask given the state we seem to be in.

Especially Wigan, the way they've turned their season around. We can only hope that they're back to their previous form by the time we meet
Middlesbrough and Hull are in worse form than us, and we still have to play both of them this season.
But the 10 game form table had Sheff Wed on it......and we lost to them.
Same will go for Hull & 'boro. We just dont have any oomph or attacking threat. Teams at the bottom like Luton, Barnsley & Wigan have been going at teams......and not only winning but winning well. We got away with the Luton game - 9 times out of 10 their "goal" would have stood & we would have been 2-1 down. When was the last time we came from behind to win....?
We got away with the Luton goal but we played well enough in that game. In terms of ESI - yes if we were near the play off places, there would be less criticism of them, if any at all, but some could see this coming and realised there was a bigger onus on us to make one or two of the right signings to head off the risk. Surely it isn't good business to get relegated.
What annoyed me about ESI is they seemed to understand this from their words but not actions. They told us in the West Brom programme that they rushed through with the sale to give themselves the window. We learned so much so that they haven't bought the whole club which is very concerning. Yes, is was a stagnant and difficult window for all clubs, but we were in a desperate situation.
I firmly believe that if we had made a decent signing or two early doors, Gallagher wouldn't have left. It isn't great losing every week and we were losing a bit too often for that deal to survive it seems. That window was as bad as any we endured under Mr Rotten Teeth and worse than the previous one.
Having previously been a great critic of those on this bandwagon I an ashamed to say I am tempted to join.I would welcome suggestions as to why I should resist this temptation.

Have you ever referred to your fellow fans as "bedwetters"? If so I am afraid that your only option is to change your username.
Positive.... Negative... and Realistic which could be either. We are going down with a whimper and no fight. We are the only team, who look like we have accepted our fate. Bolton, 22 points from safety fight every week. Our players and Lee on his extended £££ hundreds of thousands contract should be fucking embarrassed.
I have started to feel a bit less like it will be the end of the world if we go down.25/05/1998 play off win best feeling ever followed by relegation.Followed by record breaking championship win and 7 seasons in the top flight.
26/05/2019 second best feeling ever followed by relegation.
Maybe this seasons relegation[and it is not certain yet but likely] will be followed by a record breaking season in league one and several seasons in the championship [which is increasingly looking like our nirvana].
Why all the negatively? We have all our players back, Matt breath of fresh air Southall in charge and works about to start on the training ground once Matt finds his super duper phone. Hate all these bed wetters.
Club is in a very poor place right now so it’s largely justified but seeing unnecessary negativity spilling over into almost every thread and it’s becoming an inescapable chore to read it all.

1) this is a football forum, people vent on football forums!
2) the above is worth stating twice!
3) it's bloody cathartic.
4) a psychologist once told me that constant positivity is unhealthy and the lie of the self-help era. Instead people should focus on acceptance.
5) negativity in our situation is realism.
