Just to let you all know that Lings is out of surgery and in ICU for recovery. Surgeon pleased. Will update in a few days.

Further update on 2 April
"All, just a quick update. Paul's recovery is on track. It's been a tricky few days for him, and with no visitors allowed has had to face this alone. Some CV19, MRSA, a blood clot and some sickness all thrown in to boot!! But doctors remain pleased with his recovery and, tomorrow, are releasing him!
There's a long road ahead but that's a big step on the recovery road ticked off. In the current situation he can't receive visitors, but he's super grateful for all the support. And I know we'll give him plenty more in person once things change".

All these people moaning about the shirts and the lack of signings. This puts it all into perspective. Scroll right for the video

Desperately sad news, I somehow managed to miss the original story
I remember Linger coming through as part of a very good crop of youngsters around 93, many of which played in the 1st team, notably Rufus and Shaun Newton.3 -
So so sad. The poor son who has already lost his Mum. Alot to deal with as a 5 year old. No justice in this world when you think of the arsehols that live their life free of this shite but do harm as they go along9

Despite the hundreds of players I have seen play for Charlton, so many I have zero recollection of, Paul Linger is one of the players you always seem to remember. Awful to have been taken at what is such a young age. RIP4
