Six months working in Guernsey led to this collection of lockdown supplies. Not much going on at the airport apart from the duty free shop.
Please note the valley party postcards above. Even the coaster is one of those Charlton cup final ticket ones.
I’ve never heard of this cup final ticket coaster. Are they still available somewhere?

Greenwich market has them, I’ve had a set for years.

And the cause of the beer being broken out early.  From top and clockwise, paneer chilli fry, Sri Lankan pineapple curry, and potato panch phoron.
F*** that, I bet your a*** was on fire the next morning.

A trip to the dark side - Founders Backwoods Bastard. 11% of boozy warmth. Just what you need on a miserable rainy day.

    One for @CLB74

Not at all, but oral sex was a no-no that night.

I really don’t understand how some people can ‘drink’ at home. I find once I’ve had one or two tins max that I just don’t get the urge to have any more than that.

First pub sesh back I reckon I’ll be on the floor within two hours

Hopefully you'll find the seats at Lewisham station comfortable.

Think of all the beer money you must be saving Elf’s. You must be close to buying a round :-)

Mrs Stig and my eldest just emptied out the booze cupboard and declared, "we're getting drunk".

Well, you know what they say, if you can't beat them,  join them!
  • Did a quiz on Zoom with a few mates last night and was drinking salted caramel White Russians.  Lovely but strong!

Apparently cancelling the subscription is difficult but, to be honest, I’m going to keep it going for a bit anyway as loved getting that box of fun. Drank about eight of the drinks so far and they’ve all been good, the White Haze IPA the stand out. Beautiful!
I’m not really a home drinker normally but am really enjoying a few at the weekend during these odd times...

I don't normally but have had a few at home at the moment, only when "socialising" on Zoom etc with mates though, don't really fancy a beer if I'm sitting on the sofa watching a film or whatever.

I had it for a few months, wasn't too bad to cancel, kept on hold a while then got the hard sell of "how about an extra bottle?", "Why not just put it on hold for a couple of months?" etc but that was it.

Don’t drink much or often but did have a nice Whitley Neill Blood Orange G&T whilst having steak, jacket potato and salad for lunch in the back garden today.
  • Finished work in the garden today now ending the day in my newly lockdown built garden bar. 🍺

    Love that!  Good work.

No problem, everyone welcome, the place is crying out for a social gathering. It’s my birthday on 20th April (but you could have guessed that) and my wife’s on 22nd and was hoping for something lively in the bar but doesn’t look like that will be happening ☹️

The only thing I'd say against beer52 is a lot of the beers are very hoppy or very 'hip'.  If that's not your thing, I'd suggest trying elsewhere.
  • At risk of turning this into the Beer thread, but tonight’s lockdown beer is a moldy coconut stout. Pleasant, but not enough coconut.
