Welcome back @SoundAsa£, I hope you are speedily on the mend. The Shenanigans thread has been overtaken by the Covid19 thread in terms of most posts, but you might want to have a look on the Bitesize seeing as it's all kicked off again today. If you're in need of a laugh I highly recommend the Photo of you at 20 thread, and look forward to seeing your own entry.
Thanks for all your kind words......I am very humbled by your comments. A bit more info from me about my adventure! A few days back I decided to take a look at my discharge certificate, I was in for quite a shock. Initially I was rushed into hospital with a gallbladder infection it was then that I contracted Covid-19 whilst at the same time have collapsed lungs and Sepsis.....as my doctor said last week.....it would appear that you have used up all your nine lives.......72 and I still survived. I had four conditions that without treatment any one of which could have killed me! Tears come to my eyes when I think of all those wonderful nurses who nursed me inch by inch back to health. I was more than lucky......at 72 it was a minor miracle. I was in a coma and a semi coma for around 10 days. A few weeks back I wouldn’t have dreamed of mentioning what I am about to tell you out of sheer embarrassment but now it means nothing for me to admit it quite openly.....so here goes. I was doubly incontinente for all of that time......the nurses were coming in at least ten or twelve times a day to change me, wash me, turn me over from side to side (which was agony I have to tell you), strip and remake the bed, whilst changing their own protective clothing each time into the bargain. This, whilst taking blood and checking me over every hour or two day and night. Never a hint of frustration or ill feeling from one of them........my love and appreciation of them knows no bounds. There’s more to tell......but it’s enough for now. God Bless the NHS.
