Owned by a shell company. Unclear who are the directors but rumours of connections to a Belgian-Manchester-Middle Eastern-EFL consortium. Multiple charges over the organisation’s assets which are currently valued at £1. Rumours that the A and the F and the C are separately financed but all subject to a transfer embargo. So in summary nowhere near the shitshow of its predecessor.
I thought the whole point of "AFC" phoenix clubs is that there was a complete and careful regard for transparency and a democratic leadership structure. Who is behind this?

I think it's given in the messages "for fans, by fans"

Fair play to them, I guess everyone wants to do something at a time when we feel so powerless. Probably a bit premature, but hopefully we’ll never need an AFC Charlton (by the way, it has to be “Athletico Charlton” if we ever do need a Phoenix club!)
I don't like that 'AFC' thing. It's weird. Call them Charlton United or Charlton Rovers or Charlton Bastards or something, I dunno. Not AFC though, it's rubbish
If the club folded, I would get behind such a move, but on two conditions: 1. There would need to be a clear link/heritage from the old to the new. For that reason I would want it to be set up (or at least sanctioned) by the supporters trust, not by 11 blokes who suddenly declared UDI. 2. I think I would struggle to support a team called "AFC...". It's such a wanky, unoriginal name. I don't want to follow mindless copycats I want a club that has spirit and originality.

Take a look at * AFC Charlton * (@afc_charlton): https://twitter.com/afc_charlton?s=09
Saw that a few weeks ago on Twitter
Is that new Charlton actually beating new Millwall?
It's an omen for the future.
Charlton Athletic 1905 or Charlton Athletic 2020 would be better than AFC Charlton in my ppinion
