Fair enough. Doesnt bode too well for the restart. Hopefully we can put in some good performances against the other struggling teams and get ourselves to safety. Really wish we got the Hull game done before covid stopped play
We were heading in only one direction before the break.
No one is heading anywhere until the season resumes.
It's a new tactic by the new management team. Not only do they want to keep the finances and fixtures secret, they want to keep the scores under wraps. Expect a new blackout when we go to Hull.

It's a completely new world... I reckon we won't even be told we're relegated.
You know you're desperate for football when you're trying to figure out the score of a behind closed doors friendly that might not have even happened 24 hours ago.
Someone close to the team tells me that is was very much an informal game played over three 45 minute periods and the final period wasn't even played to the end as everyone just called it a day.
It was roll on, roll off subs etc.
To give you an idea of how informal it was Basey and Maynard-Brewer took turns at referring the game.
Both clubs saw it very much as a training exercise rather than a full game and nothing should be read into it.
Both clubs keen to keep line ups etc private so as not to alert other clubs who is and isn't available ahead of the first league game.
Photos were taken and records of line ups keep for future handbooks but there were no programmes or even team sheets.
@Covered_End_Lad is correct. It was 2- 0 at the end of the first period and 3 - 0 at the end of the second period and then Fulham scored late on. I guess that's when they packed it in and went home for their tea.
As said very informal and not a match in a proper sense at all, hence why nothing reported.

Let's hope that Hull didn't get a very formal game in at Newcastle, otherwise they are going to be more prepared than us. Whatever happens, the players will be hoping that Hull lay on a nice tea if does go all informal.
regardless whether we are getting spanked or winning these games, i wouldn't read too much into it. Its all about match fitness and not picking up injuries, a bonus if we won for morale but i dont think even then the players wouldn't be much different.

and the players that are chasing shadows usually end up running around a lot more. Match fitness is paramount
😉
After Arsenal there was so why not now
It was roll on, roll off subs etc.

And after the first period it was 3-0 Fulham
So basically we were 3-0 down in what would normally be HT in a normal game.
Great lol
Informal or not they are a Championship team who we drew against twice in the league, so to be 3-0 behind after 45 minutes isnt great lol
Does it matter if it was a training exercise or not, they clearly outplayed us
And its less than a week now until a crucial game against Hull why was it such an informal training exercise
Trust in Lord Bowyer, we will be ready.
