Good move for Lapslie and hope he does well. Deserves it and needs a full season now. He’s 23 at the moment, it’s actually a big year for him.
Everyone knows Lapslie is technically not brilliant or extremely comfortable on the ball, but he works hard, tracks back, is determined, and his attitude is spot on. He’ll be playing in League Two, not the Premier League, so those qualities are far more important than his ability on the ball.
It’s telling that there has been interest for Lapslie but not for Morgan. Maybe Charlton fans will now start to see how being able to do the other side of the game is valued across the professional game. It’s not about Bowyer not rating Morgan, because he does. It’s about young players not being interested enough in doing the defensive side of the game, it’s not just Morgan, it’s young players in general now. The obsession of being comfortable and technically good has taken over.
Shame about Oztumer, good player at this level and will score goals for Bristol Rovers. But when we have Williams, Maddison, Aneke, Doughty, and another player or two to sign, we need to free up someone.
Who knows, he might smash it and we bring him back and use him in the promotion push.
George has bags of energy but lacking that little bit extra at the moment for me. Still think he has enough about him to make a good living in the game.
Will always remember his performance away at Portsmouth the promotion season, he was everywhere blocking and putting his body on the line for the team.

Tomorrow should be fun.

Doesn't fit Bow's game plan, no idea why Bowyer was so persistent to sign him.

TBH, I thought their opportunities of 1st team football might be limited this season.
Good luck, guys and come back to us as world beaters !
Moving two players out on loan frees up wages for the cap. The last 24 hours of the transfer window will be fun as a Charlton fan for a change
The latter is the hard part.
