I still see something in Bonne, his movement/instincts are really good.. Would probably bring on Hemed for Aneke though at some point, but of any of our strikers Bonne is the most likely to nick a goal.

Morgan's pass was outrageous, and still ridiculous he was ever sent on loan to the conference

3 goals in 5 and a half games. Just not good enough. Cant really blame the strikers because, they arent really good enough. Neither are Championship quality.......League one at best.

Sorry, but I think we are down.
There we are ladies of gentlemen, our season has been decided.

    We're staying up.

The goal allows them to sit back and we don’t have the quality to break them down especially up front. Can see them getting a breakaway 2nd half and win 2-0
We’ve broken them down a few times. Bonne should have scored, Chuks did score but got wrongfully ruled out, and a couple half chances here and there too.

The problem isn’t creating the chances, it’s finishing them (not getting shafted by the lino also helps).

Chucks will not score in a fucking century..Bonne needs 10 chances to put one away. We simply can't break down Reading..I'm so angry at LB... Ive been supportive of him but play Oshi was a mistake that I'll tell you know will hurt us.
We are going down..you cannot sugar coat this.

We’ve created 3 very clear sights on goal - had one what looked to be wrongly ruled out for offside, one Bonne somehow missed from 3 yards out, and Aneke forced a good save but was ruled marginally offside again. Chance creation has been decent today.

I think we have played quite well given our limited resources and slightly eccentric lineup choices. However we look to me to be about top half league 1 standard with a league 2 standard attack. McGeady and Morgan head and shoulders above (not literally!) the rest but their colleagues are just not on their wavelength. I actually think Deji has done well apart from the penalty but yet again Bonne looks like a competition winner. Add all that to a dodgy lino and it’s not been our day. But we are creating so there is still hope. Will be interesting to see how bowyer approaches substitutions. If he takes McGeady or Morgan off for non injury reasons I’ll be asking questions.

We're getting in a few crosses, but to be honest we don't look like scoring from them. Meat and drink for Morrison
No threat from high crosses, especially to the back post

BUT we do look dangerous when we play on the floor. McGeady making some nice touches around the box

The problem is the way we're creating chances

As Wilson has said, lofted crosses into the box and most Championship CBs will gleefully deal with them

The two real chances weve had have been when the ball is on the deck!!

Hemed on for Bonne, otherwise I thought we were getting on top in the last 10 of the first half. Keep that up and do something clinical and we will get at least a point here. The game is not over by any means. Look what Brentford did second half at home against us. Different quality but did not give up and their determination to get back in and win proved worthwhile for them. Same for us please Lee...!

I think a lot of people forget that Bonne was not supposed to be anywhere near the first team this season. The plan was to ship him out on loan all season. Bowyer knew he was nowhere near ready.

Bowyer himself said that he thought Bonne would benefit more from staying here than going out on loan so that was never the plan.

    Agree,
we show flashes of brilliance when playing down the wings - but with one ‘winger’ player in McGeady we tend to just lump it long.

deji, Bonne and chuks all out of their depth and realistically need shipping out if we manage to stay up! Can only hope for a varney and Barclay cash splurge if and when we stay up!

Looks a worrying predicament, and by 5pm I expect us to be very much self
    harming here on CL...

great start to the ‘restart’ but we have really let ourselves down the last 2 games , which have left us floundering whilst other teams are finding their fee

Our strikers were playing in League Two and the Conference last season.
And they were punching at that level

harsh and not fair but I’m fucked off cos we’re going down

Yeah sick of these floated crosses to the far post.

We have broken them down on a few occasions already, just lacking a decent goalscorer.

It did look a tad offside...now looking at the freeze frame below.

We have to change tactics as the keeper and back four are finding it to easy.

In this frame, Aneke’s chest may be offside. However the shot is taken after the ball already left McGeady’s foot.

It’s a very very marginal call and I believe it only went against us because he was standing in an offside position when the ball fell at his feet.

Surely Davison can't do any worse with these chances

Unless his shoulder is in front then he's definitely onside.

    Clearly onside ...

His shoulder looks quite a way away from Morrison bending the other way.

I think the linesman has probably called it correctly, but I'd have preferred benefit of doubt with attack.
