Always thought he was shit. Ran around a fair bit but devoid of any sort of ability with the ball.

He really wasn't shit. Didn't you see the home game when after a long punt from the keeper he ran on and lobbed the keeper ? Obviously not.
Yes he was a journey man player who had his best spell just before Nadkins took over then got injured after a few minutes into Nigel's 1st match.

Washington 22 goals in 71 apps in League 1 for cafc wasn't too shabby when we were bang average and League 1 was his level. The Championship was always a step too far looking at his record but 456 apps and 143 goals as a professional is decent in my eyes.
After missing the whole of last season with Derby, Conor born in Rochester with an Irish Granddad is giving it a go at Matlock Town. He must love the football adrenaline rush and I hope he is fit enough to play at level 8.

I forgive you Conor for making me kick a small table after missing that late good chance against Rochdale back in the COVID days ! (See July 23 above 🤦🏻‍♂️)
Except it wasn't  all as a professional. 65 of those goals were scored in 88 United Counties League Premier Division appearances for St. Ives Town . That's levels 9-10 of the football pyramid.
  • I think Matclock may have a bit of cash. They’ve signed a couple of players in recent years who have probably dropped too many levels to play for them. Nice place to live, which may help.

Got a wealthy owner. Threw cash around(wages) last year but they still got relegated.
  • Decent player who offered a lot, but also will never forget the twelve one-on-ones he missed in his final season. The guy was allergic to them.
  • Decent player for us gave his all and certainly better than many others at the time

    Dropping 4 divisions, wow
5 isn't it?  Championship to level 7?  Albeit I guess he didn't really play in the Championship for Derby.

Seems very odd when earlier this summer he apparently wanted to get back into international contention:

But maybe that one being close to Derby if his family are settled meant he thought about work/life balance more than level of football?
Playing in the 8th tier probably doesn’t rule you out of playing for Northern Ireland!
O'Neil won't pick below League One

    Wrong St Ives 🤦🏻‍♂️
St Ives town have taken a punt on Conor that he will be fit and I believe they produce a good sausage sandwich.
