Dreadful result for Liverpool, losing to a Madrid side without Ramos and Varane and with Lucas Vasquez as a makeshift right back. Kroos and Modric are still pulling the strings though.
Liverpool have an away goal so not out of it by any means, but Anfield with no fans isn't quite the daunting 2nd leg prospect it would usually be for Madrid.
A poor Liverpool side beating a very poor Arsenal side only papered over the cracks about how poor defensively Liverpool are in the middle of defence. Phillips and Kabak? Shocking. TAA with a ridiculously bad defensive header for Madrid's second goal highlights just how bad Liverpool are compared to last year's side. Without Fabinho and Henderson pressing and protecting and Van Dyke and Gomez in the middle, Liverpool get torn a new one everytime they play a decent side who can exploit their weakness.
If they are going to have two games played simultaneously rather than back to back, I wish BT would refrain from announcing live score updates or at least warn that they are about to do so.
I'd have quite liked to tape one game and watch it after the other but there's no point when I BT have already told me the score. It's not like anyone who wants to know the live scores couldn't just check their phone or whatever.
I get your point, but most viewers would think the opposite and would prefer live updates as unlikely they will watch the other game. I for one i know we can always check other places but i personally prefer to watch a live game and get the updates via BT, personal preference i guess

BT obviously have to build up Liverpool's chances, but that away goal will only be meaningful if Liverpool can keep a clean sheet in the second leg, which is a real long shot
Commentator for the Bayern PSG match (Dempsey) seems strange. Weird monologue about energy efficiency at the start of the game and he hasn't got much better since. Don't think I've encountered him commentating before
Looks like it's out of Madrid, Man City and PSG to me.
PSG and Man City will be desperate, this is probably the easiest chance for either of them to win their first Champions League.
I dunno. PSG are dynamite if they get the ball to the front two, but Bayern have had most of the ball this first half and the ball has ricocheted around the PSG box a few times.
They’ve pulled one back before halftime and aren’t out of this by any stretch of the imagination. If they can squeeze past PSG, then get Lewandowski back, they’re in with a shout.
Not champions League but... There's just been a streaker in the Man U Grenada game. No people in the ground and manages to not only get in but get his hairy balls onto the pitch and onto live TV.

Jude Bellingham born in Stourbridge, but made at the valley after scoring for Birmingham when just 16.

Bayern can also rest players this weekend as the title is pretty much sewn up, PSG can't afford to as they're 3 points behind Lille and need 3 points.
Then Bayern go straight up the other end up and Choupo-Moting scores!
