A few interesting results today, possibly reflecting how seriously teams are taking this, but Cardiff losing 3-0 at Northampton and Swansea losing 2-0 at Newport stand out!
Personally would be pleased if they played the first round of the league cup a week before the season starts next year. Teams might take it more serious.
I like that they are drawing round 2 and 3, allows you to see if you have a big game lined up in round 3 and really go for it in round 2. Could be a big incentive if you have arsenal away or something.

The lack of fans is a massive downer though, losing much of the financial benefit of a cup run. It's not as if the TV rights for the EFL cup would be that exciting either?
Fully expect them to do similar to us last season - they'll have a few good results to begin with but think the demands of the League will slowly wear them down
Not been impressed with Toney in this Brentford team today
The draw is for rounds 2 & 3. Interesting way of doing it, might help decide on the side you’d pick for the second round of the third round was predetermined.

After the Brentford game on Sky.

You saw when he took that goalkick he was struggling
If Brentford can get these penalties on target and make him dive then I dont see him saving any
Saw a few yesterday and again today the Brentford keeper was off his line for 1 or 2 of them
Just get on with the bloody draws lol
So if that was the South we would have got Watford
