worst thing about this result is if Allison is badly injured they may sign a new keeper quickly, hope they dont tho would love to see Adrian in goal for a few games and he costs them a few points

Need to move themselves, after tomorrow they can only sign a player from the Football League
Anyone know of a 'keeper who is potentially available?
what the hell is going on with football right now?! 26% possession, 7 goals against the current champions
You'd expect Liverpool to have had the majority of possession, they spent most of the time picking the ball out of their own net and kicking off to themselves!
It's a weird PL season but promising to be a good one for the neutral viewer, as if a team's performance level drops they'll be punished by their opponents
The Villa board showed patience with Dean Smith, it would have been easy to move him aside for an "established Premier League manager" or to bring in someone from Europe, but they stuck with him and backed him
The decision of Grealish to stay is looking a much better one too, nice to see a player stay with "his" team, but now he has a team which isn't holding him back
what IS going on ? .. so many goals being scored, it's wonderful .. and good to see that other famous clubs are getting stuck into the arrogant scousers and whinging Mancunians (although most of their players were brought up a long way from the north west) .. Souness, you have been talking rubbish and getting more eccentric and doddery for ages, it's well past time for Sky to put YOU out to grass ((:>)
I remember a ex professional I can't remember who it was said, that without fans the players were not playing with the same intensity as normal and these game were being played like training games.
He said if you put a camera on a training match this is how many goals and chances you would see, and thats now coming into actual games due to no fans

So this means our Sunderland game was played with more intensity than any other game in the country? Real football survives at The Valley
I think without the fans/normality, a level of complacency has crept it to some teams.
I think there is definitely an element of this. Each of the games that Liverpool play are going to be a "cup final" to their opponents. If those Liverpool players aren't up for it and with no crowd to galvanise then they will get found out. Of course the motivation should come from within but it must seem at times to them as if they are playing a practice game!
We also shouldn't underestimate a team like Villa who have a midfield full of quality who can play as well as press - Grealish, McGinn (who missed 10 games injured last season), Barkley, Douglas Luiz and Trezeguet can all play and they have someone at last who will consistently put the ball in the back of the net with Watkins - and all of them are under 26 and hungry.

Villa have looked decent this season though, Dean Smith has done much better in the market this time round

Man U losing 6-1 at home to Spurs, yet it's not even the most shocking result!
They should have made Souness apologise not the host
