I was so very sorry to hear this news. I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Chris but I exchanged messages with him after his wonderful blog reached a major milestone recently and he seemed a lovely guy. He seemed genuinely humbled and surprised that avid readers like me looked to Dr Kish as our ‘go to’ source for reliable and highly informed information on a daily basis. His discretion and restraint in reporting the issues and news of the day only added to the man’s allure.
I particularly enjoyed his articles on away trips . It didn’t matter that you weren’t going- which I wasn’t most of the time - but Chris’ prose painted an alluring picture and beautifully captured the magic of an away day. Most recently, I enjoyed his piece on Saturday, lamenting the fact that we couldn’t get up to Crewe.
RIP Chris - we shall miss your reliability and your unstinting commitment to keeping your fellow Addicks in the picture.
RIP this is terrible news. His blog is a staple for more years than I care to remember. Thank you for hours of fun and enjoyment - I love mutual teams.
RIP mate - a true Charlton legend & genuinely nice man. Chris & I regularly exchanged text messages around the latest rumours and our thoughts about Charlton. The last time being on Saturday before & after the win at Crewe when he text me at 05.30 with his thoughts about the takeover, the forthcoming season and how much he was missing going to football & would the ‘normal’ match day experience ever return.
Condolences to all the family & friends of Chris - god bless.
I've pointed her on to @northstandsteve - I dunno if the turnaround time is short enough to get it done in time for the funeral, but I reckon she's got more hope with him than one of the generic flag suppliers.
Thinking of my local CAFC Blogger Dr Kish/Ketts tonight. He'd be delighted with the last 7 results and the way the club has come together under Thomas.
Thought I'd give this a bump. Today is the anniversary of Ketts passing. One of many fans we've lost recently. Really miss the half-time chats and his blogging on Dr Kish. Chris was another who rarely missed a game and until knee surgery a couple of years ago prevented him from attending a handful of games had a very lengthy run of continuous attendance. I'll raise a glass to him later.

Thanks for the reminder, Phil.
A true, loyal Addick who is missed by those who knew him.
