he wont get 10 goals for them (excluding pens) this season14 -
Had their trousers down there, jesus8

Wish him all the best but can't turn down 2 mil for him hopefully to be reinvested2

Good luck to him. Didn’t do bad last season considering circumstances. Played a lot more than I think everyone expected and scored a reasonable return. If we paid £200k and have reportedly sold him for 10x that, then to me it’s a great decision.Certainly think we can do better, long term.Good luck Macauley.3

Take that all day but wish him all the best at the same time.
Pretty sure we will replace him. Getting him for 200k and selling for 2 mill is pretty good business.3 -
To buy for £200k and sell for £2m cannot be described as bad business, It is still disappointing though. I had high hopes for Macca this season.9

I hope it's a good move for him. Don't think he did any wrong at Charlton, just didn't have what it takes at this moment in his career to be a lead striker. Hopefully he'll be playing with more experienced partners at QPR and they'll get the best out of him.
More importantly, I hope it's a good move for us. We need someone who's going to be more of a goal threat. If the £2m is invested wisely, we can do pretty well out of it.9 -
Great deal, bowyer seems happy and says we’ll be bringing in a striker/ a couple of strikers who “suit the way we play”. Good stuff4

amazing good deal, way over-priced, and Bowyer seems happy with the funds, so all fine with me0

I do think given the number of quality midfielders we have that a big lump that can put himself about a bit and knows where the goal is could benefit us. Who is that player though? I hate to say it, but somebody like Taylor!0

Jelly and Ice Cream all round - Garbage player5

I feel we should have given him a little more time
But maybe he did not want to play in league 1?
It would funny if both him and Taylor ended up a total flops in the Championship 😂😂😂👍👍1 - Sponsored links:

Josh Davison is a very similar player, but he really put a shift in on Wednesday.
Hope he's not knackered.2 -

I wouldn’t say Bonne was naff, he came from non league on the cheap and scored more a lot more goals than most Charlton strikers have in the last few years. Good luck to him!8
-
Maybe he didn't take well to constantly being slated by Bowyer.
Personally hope he does well and it's not surprising that his head was turned. Story has been taken down from QPR site... 404 error.0 -

He scored one goal in 3 matches in the championship in a team that got relegated.
Thank Fuck, the Ipswich game is off!
Steve Gallen over to you.2 -

Decent business. He certainly was a project player that had to step in when Taylor got crocked then threw hit toys out of the pram and did well all things considered. 11 goals in the Champ for a relegated team is not to be sniffed at and that's why he's gone for £2mil.
There's a lot of talent in there but just as much frustration. He missed some absolute sitters in the last few games of last season (many of which would've kept us up if he'd taken them) and that will likely stick in a lot of fans memories. For where we are at the moment, we need a striker we can rely on to click with Bowyer's style and to finish the chances that come his way. From the first few games, there were clear signs that that wasn't really going to happen.
What I will say is this...Macauley stepped up to the plate and got stuck in when others (i.e. Taylor) didn't/wouldn't. For that I thank him and I think it's probably best if we both move on.29
