I'm still behind Bowyer, but it does feel that since lockdown we've tried basically every different formation you get on the drop down on Football Manager with none of them working
I said it last week that Bowyer doesn't seem able to motivate this group of players. People said what I base that upon. Look at our record recently and end of last season.

He's earnt time, I'm not sure it's about motivation. Even when we were losing the players have looked up for it but not good enough. I don't think he'll have that excuse in this league.
I think I'll wait until he has a proper squad to choose from until I judge him
Spot on. Hard to believe what I'm reading. A threadbare squad of kids and pensioners that barely know each others name with no pre season prep keeping one of the promotion favourites at bay.
Alex Ferguson would do well to get more out of this squad at this stage.
Bowyer proved what he can do by getting promoted against all odds then almost keeping us up until very last few minutes last season after apocalyptic injuries and no available players.
He is massively in credit and has earned a good season and couple of well funded transfer windows.
We're behind the rest of the division in terms of building a squad, we're in desperate need of defenders as we currently have a 35 year old midfielder having to play centre back and half our squad is made up of kids.
We have no goalscorer, Gilbey is injured and Aneke is just returning from illness.
Let's see who we sign in the next couple of weeks and then judge Bowyer at Christmas, not 4 games into the season.
I'm not a new poster look back through my posts, I've supported bows 100% even through the bad runs.
This is shite.
There's worse teams in this league that play a bit of football, we've not strung 3passes together and knee jerk comments might be because that 45mins was dog shit.
Probably missed a couple. Expectations must be set accordingly surely.
I expected to get battered today. This is one of the best tipped sides for promotion we are facing. Home advantage makes little difference with no crowd.
This is our pre season whilst we put a squad together as best as we can due to the off the field circus still not being resolved when it kicked off.
Stabilise and start the rebuild this season and avoid relegation and push on from here.
A good season to not have attendances. The last decade of ownership issues and chronic underinvestment will not be resolved overnight.
Bowyer IS the man for the job at hand. He has stood by us and we should by him now.
This is a Sunderland side that beat Oxford 2-0 and Peterborough 1-0 in there last 2.
We have just lost Bonne and have a 1 striker atm with Aneke not 100% fit
Maddison also isnt fit yet.
So 0-0 after 70 minutes is brilliant IMO no matter how bad the game is, if you said to me at 3pm that after 70 minutes it will still be 0-0 I would have been delighted
That line up to start was head scratching and its no surprise not one shot on target.
Your at home, a lot of shit shit teams in this league score goals and we look fucking woeful all over the pitch.
Crap
Remember you're not allowed to say anything negative about "one of our own".
Of course you can... but it will get challenged and counter argued. As long as it doesn't get personal or start slagging each other off for having different views no harm in it.
Comments
Could be right up there with the Johnnie Jackson offers nothing thread.
Then it wont be Step up Bowyer it will be well done Bowyer
That's half a team. It will take time to rebuild.
That said the 'second half of the first half' was painful I agree. Let's hope swapping the balding midgets works.

"Just sell the club".
for the 5th years running, we are still rebuilding a month into the season when other teams have had 6 weeks of being together.
Phillips
Cullen
Matthews
Taylor
Bonne
Pearce
Sarr

And yes, I've had a beer

This isn't subjective, this is factual.
