Charlton Loan Watch

  • Davison's 1st was him flicking out his ankle & deflecting in a shot.
The 2nd, he took a standard penalty after someone else was fouled.
    A goal’s a goal.
John Aldridge claimed 1 years after just so he could reach a milestone (150/200 ???). In those days you just wheeled around with your arm in the air & you got given it.
He "scored" 2 against us where he never got the last touch of the ball

Nathan Harness returned to Charlton (?) Sounds like he didn't do so well at Dulwich.
  • He only went for the month
  • Wealdstone's game was postponed tonight, so no game for Henry

Josh Davison: Scored up at Carlisle, subbed on 85mins - Swindon won 3-0
Aaron Henry: Played 90mins at home against Wrexham, who won 2-1
Ashley Maynard-Brewer: Ross County lost 2-0 at Hibs, Ashley was on the bench
Ben Dempsey: Ayr won 2-1 at Inverness, Ben played 89mins
Charles Clayden: Subbed on from 64mins (score was 0-0) for Wealdstone

James Vennings: Aldershot didnt play today
Dylan Gavin; Billericay didnt play today
Lucas Ness: Game was called off... Waterlogged pitch
Nazir Bakrin; Game was called off... Storm Eunice

Dont think I've missed anyone, but probably have
  • Just a few players in action tonight:

Josh Davison: Got two assists with Swindon beating Walsall 5-0... He was subbed on 78mins
James Vennings: Aldershot drew 0-0 with Dover tonight... Vennings lasted the full game
Aaron Henry & Charles Clayden: Both played for Wealdstone at Solihull Moors who won 2-1; Both played the entire game, with Aaron Henry providing the assist for Wealdstone's goal.

Blackpool play at Queens Park Rangers tomorrow night, so another opportunity for Charlie Kirk to play
  • Madness Kirk is playing for a team in the division above, yet we couldn't fit him in. Clearly something wrong, i know he needed time but still it shows more about our failings and watching the current performances so must be on us/ coaches/manager.
  • Can’t be long until Aaron Henry is brought back in. Seems to be playing full 90mins and contributing for Wealdstone. Got to better option than Watson who offers nothing.
  • yes but Watson is never selected

Given that we haven't got any strikers, surely it's time to bring Davison back, isn't it?

We cant - League loans can only be transferred (either way) during a Transfer Window.

  • Went to the Exeter 3 - 1 Swindon game tonight and thought Josh Davidson did well, he was up front on his own and to be honest Swindon were beaten comfortably. Josh put it about a bit and some moments of real skill Div 4 looks his level though although not helped by team performance.

My Swindon supporting relatives really rate him as a trier with talent and would like to sign him.

Jonny Williams also played the full game and did the full range of flattering to deceive, not quite making the ball, narrowly missing the crucial pass and being fouled a lot sprinkled with the odd great turn and run at pace before falling over/being fouled.

That report doesn't really tell us how players are progressing. " I'm sure Josh will look after him"....."I know the coach". Great but how are they developing.

"Unfortunately because of the rules, James’ loan with Aldershot has ended."

What rule is that, are players only allowed 2 one month loans?

Or they're only allowed two separate spells at one Non-League club.

Because it goes on to say that he can go on loan elsewhere

Kirk got an assist for Blackpool's goal. Took the corner that Madine scored from.
