So many conflicting comments on Bogle!
    The new Leaburn
As someone who never saw Leaburn play, I wanted to make the comment that this is what I imagined he was like to watch but was frightened I’d be struck down by the Leaburn fan club. Is the comparison accurate in any way?
Leaburn once went about 300 games without scoring.
    Well it felt like it.
Bogle has a long way to go to get to that legendary status.
Big Carl was also a very unselfish player who helped bring his strike partner into the game.

Ok first half. Created our own problems at the back. Pratley lucky to stay on. Bogle doing well but won’t score goals. Ok if others chip in I suppose. Doing better than I feared. Let’s keep it going. COYR.

Certainly wouldn't say that Bogle is selfish either

Nice one, @ross1 They must have all had a gut feeling about Williams scoring today.

I always think it's worth waiting to see if a player scores for Charlton at Old Trafford before deciding whether he should be compared to Carl Leaburn.
  • Never seen a ref having to urge a Footballer to bring the ball forward due to an offside

Offside, Portsmouth. Lee Brown tries a through ball, but John Marquis is caught offside.

An example of how passing stats can be misleading, is that JFC has made a lot of ambitious passes today. 50% have come off, one leading to the goal, but he has also given the ball away more than if he just played a safe sideways pass
Although, Killer ..... if JFC had played only safe passes, he wouldn't have hit that great long ball to Maatsen, leading to the goal.

Yeah, that was the point I was trying to make. Sideways passes going nowhere benefit the stats, but it doesn’t tell the whole story

Shinnie concedes a free kick  near the LH corner of the area - crossed in to Naylor who blazes over the bar
  • Pompey also have a player called Williams who’s good at winning free kicks...
