RIP. As a kid I preferred him over Shilton if only because he was part of that great Liverpool side everyone admired at the time. Loved that yellow Admiral England top
His career was coming to an end just as i was getting into football in the late 80s but my dad always said he was one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time.
RIP I’m sure I heard a strange fact that his first career penalty save was against us in the FA cup from Aizlewoods penalty but Aizlewood followed it up to score our equaliser and earn a replay in 1985 , seems a bit mad considering his senior career started in 1965
edit: load of rubbish just seen him savIng pens for Liverpool

What an absolutely dreadful year it has been and in so many ways too.
RIP......Ray......RIP ⚽️
RIP
An era when the UK had so many top class keepers
I saw him make his debut for Tottenham. Which still seems odd, for such a Liverpool legend.
This shittiest of times continues.
My favourite non Charlton player and like mentioned above much preferred him to Shilton
Only 72 and didn't realize he was ill.
The most famous person from Skegness.
RIP Ray.
