RIP I’m sure I heard a strange fact that his first career penalty save was against us in the FA cup from Aizlewoods penalty but Aizlewood followed it up to score our equaliser and earn a replay in 1985 , seems a bit mad considering his senior career started in 1965

What a goalkeeper Ray Clemence was. Most consistent club goalie to follow Gordon Banks. Those European Cup evenings when Liverpool walked out and Clemence was announced in goal, were always special, you knew they wouldn't be be beaten. RIP Ray - a fighter to the end.
