            Advice gratefully accepted.
Been sorting through boxes at home. I have a Logines Opposition L3.617.4 in original box practically new, needs battery as it has not seen the light of day for 15-16 years.
Where is best to sell it? 0 0

Where is best to sell it?
ebay or Chrono24 - worth in the region of £600-£800 I would estimate.2

Thanks Bob. Ex wife gave it to me, so little sentimental value 😃bobmunro said:soapy_jones said:Advice gratefully accepted.

Yes, they were like gold dust for a while and we're on eBay with massively inflated prices.markofkent said:are the cheapy Omega Swatches easy to get hold off?
If you go into the Swatch Shops in Oxford St, Carnarby St or Covent Garden they usually have the full range available.
 Still can't buy them online (I think)1

My boss managed to get the new polar Black Bay Pro last week after getting back from Watches and Wonders. I prefer it to the black.

Does anyone remember luminous watches. Are they still made I wonder?0

The new C12 Loco.Impressive in house movement for Christopher Ward…..but not for me.Especially at £4k.It still annoys me how they are putting screw heads on display that do not line up with eachother.1

6 day power reserve is impressive.0

Late to the party, but what a great thread! I didn’t realise just how much I liked watches. Or indeed how much I knew about them and the various makers.0

While I’m here, professional watch photographers must have one of the best jobs out there. They seem to have a lot of time on their hands (unavoidable pun).
Does anyone know what they actually do either side of 10 past 10?0

Nice but I’d have thought this was a bit on the small side for your liking?Clem_Snide said:I picked up my second Zelos last week. Far and away my favourite Microbrand and amazing value. Mako Solar Flare. 0 0

Not sure if there are any other fans of the BBC Sounds Podcast "Sliced Bread", but a very enjoyable, relevant episode on there.
What is keeping the traditional watch industry ticking over?
The entrepreneur, Sam White, hosts Dough - the BBC Radio 4 series which looks at the business behind profitable everyday products and where the smart money might take them next.
In each episode, Sam, and the futurist, Tom Cheesewright, are joined by product manufacturers and industry experts whose inside knowledge gives a new appreciation for the everyday things that we often take for granted. Together they look back on a product’s earliest (sometimes ridiculous!) iterations, discuss how a product has evolved and the trends which have driven its profitability.
In this episode on traditional watches, they hear from expert guests including:
Mike France - Co-founder of the British watchmaking company, Christoper Ward
Fflur Roberts - Head of Luxury Goods at the data analytics company, Euromonitor International
Laura McCreddie-Doak - A freelance watch journalist who has written for publications including Wired, GQ & The Times
They trade opinions on traditional watches 'game-changing' innovations and their most pointless, or least effective, ones too, before Tom draws on his expertise as a futurist to imagine what the wristwatch might be like in the decades to come.
EDIT: Sorry, forgot to add the link.

Anyone had any experience with Farer watches? Seriously tempted by the Charlton GMT. They do a range which is based on Charlton and Greenwich.

They do some nice style watches, fairly basic (cheaper end) movements on some models.
I did look at the Palmer 36mm GMT and very nearly bought it. The Palmer had the much better Sellita SW330-2 Top Grade and I like the quick release straps.
Overal decent value on most models.1

I'm looking for a new holiday watch, but struggling........
As I'm going away more and more I'm looking for a watch that's fine for swimming and even a little scuba diving.
I have some decent Rolex's and Omega's but looking for something less valuable that won't matter so much if it gets a bit knocked around, max £1k. Needs are:
38mm max (I have small wrists!)
 300m waterproof
ideally quick change strap (i.e. I'd like to switch between metal and rubber)
Ideally automatic, but not totally against Quartz for this one
Not your usual 'Dive Watch' style Ala submariner/seamaster.
 Any thoughts?0
