Just got myself a Tag Heuer Connected 4. Not a traditional watch I grant you but I like it. Like the fact I can change the watch face when I fancy to, the wellness and fitness app are useful, can get my WhatsApp messages on it and alerts when I have a text or call. Still finding my way round it but so far I’m well chuffed. Still have a traditional Tag for more ‘formal’ occasions as it were.

I’d be all over this if it was bigger and had a date function.

    That dial is quality.

    Well done.

Yeah, I usually don't go smaller than 41mm, but the dial persuaded me to take a punt on a 38mm

Anyone on here have a spinnaker? Looking at their skeleton watch

Like the Christopher Ward skeleton watch but $4k is a bit rich for me….can buy a Tudor for that

I can’t get my head around skeleton watches. Pay loads more money to see the inner workings of the watch…..with the small downside of making it 10 times more difficult to tell the time.

Classified as a "budget" manufacturer, so you get what you pay for. I like some of their designs but they have mixed reviews.

I did try and get a 50 Phantoms when they did the limited release a while back. Liked the slight dig at the Blancpain 50 Fathoms.

If Tudor made an equivalent watch in terms of finish, engineering and design then it would be 4x that amount. I don't do skeleton watches but do not underestimate the relative value for money that £4k represents.

I've been buying and wearing Ward watches for a decade or more and the quality and innovation now is equivalent to brands selling for multiples of Ward's prices.

Have you got a Lumiere @bobmunro?

I already have a C60 Trident - but really love the look of the grey Lumiere.

I’d have to break my rule of only buying watches with date complications though 😕

No I haven't got the Lumiere - I've already got a few Tridents plus other divers. looks a great watch though. I've got one that is good for 3900m so no risk in the shower! That's got a date but I've also got a Submariner that looks superb without the date - I much prefer it to the Submariner Date. Symmetrical dial! No date on my Daytona either!

    3900m?!?

    Deepsea I assume?

That must be a beast 😄

if I was going to get a Sub…..it would definitely break my date complication rule. I really don’t like the cyclops.

Yes the Deep Blue - 44mm and very thick! I've got a GMT II Master - Root Beer that has cyclops and I'm not a fan but the watch makes up for it! The Daytona was a gift on retirement.

I always keep an eye on micro brands as they bring some really nice pieces out.

Anyone heard of Zelos? Based in Singapore. Their prices seem almost to good to be true!

Am after a subtle orange dial and their Black Tip in burnt orange looks lovely.

Spearfish Diver from Zelos is very well regarded…..and they also do a skeletonised version @ct_addick

Two main micro brands on my radar currently are Pitzmann (S Korean) and Wise (Thailand).

I do have a Wise ADX GMT - and the quality of the finish for the price is incredible.
