Really, really cannot see for the life of me how Pearce and Famewo both start. No chance. Not only fitness wise, but the balance of the team. You wouldn’t like to see either play right centre back. That would give me nightmares. It’s such a different position when you’re a left sided centre back.

Gunter or Pratley starts at centre back, unfortunately it’s the only way. And to me, with Famewo coming on, on Wednesday and Pratley moving into midfield, I can see Bowyer going with Gunter and Famewo as the two.
But why is it any better to play a right back or midfielder at right CB than a left footed CB?

Gunter had a torrid time on Wednesday in the second half as MKD changed tactics to target him aerially, EVERY goal kick went towards him and he lost header after header to Morris. As he's not a CB
Because a right footed player will naturally have the right body shape when playing in the right centre back role. Gunter has done well there previously, it’s not too different to a defensive right back. You keep the opposition on your strong side and away from
goal. When the ball gets played in, the vast majority of time it’ll get played in from further out wide and therefore on your stronger side.

Playing a left footed centre back on the right makes it very difficult. It’s not natural, their natural body shape and positioning wants to face to their left which will encourage the opponents to face goal and get closer to goal. It also means when the ball comes from out wide, the left footed centre back on the right will naturally drop off and that creates further space. It completely messes with the balance and something I don’t think we will ever see under Bowyer.
Also don't forget, all things being equal, right footed center halves are going to have played at LCB quite a lot during their careers.  For the same reason you end up having right footed left backs.  I can't, off the top of my head, think of a left footed right back or a "specialist" RCB.
That’s also because you would’ve had more right footed players in the game than left. You also find that left footed players can be very left footed and rarely use their right. Whereas, right footed players can be very comfortable with their left, more so than the other way around.
I know why it is, I was just pointing out why 2 left footed CBs is a problem, and 2 right footed ones isn't.

To @killerandflash point we haven't played badly in 3 of the last 4 games because Gunter and Pratley have been bullied by shit house center forwards.

As I have said before if we played Hull with Maginnes and Eves up top with Gunter and Pratley and left Pearce on the bench you would have to ask serious questions.

Gunter was bullied by Morris, watching from the East stand on Wednesday you could see it clearly. Shrewsbury's scout would also have seen that

There's a difference between playing in a 3 and playing in a 2. These days many teams have a RB playing as the right hand CB of the 3, Kyle Walker played there for England in 2018, but you wouldn't play Walker as part of a 2.

Anyone else unable to buy the game? Am logged in and being told '404 page not found' whatever I click on.
A few of us had similar issues on Wednesday night. I know of two people that gave up and bought the MK stream instead as otherwise would have missed the game.

Thanks, it worked last Saturday but I guess I'm registering with Shrewsbury today.
A couple of people recommended using live.cafc.co.uk for the stream midweek and that seemed to work for a lot of people.

It didn’t work for me as I only wanted to access the commentary on VP. Ended up working by clicking a VP link in one of club tweets on the night.

If it’s the stream you’re wanting, definitely try the link mentioned at the start of this post

Cheers, I used the link Tweeted recently by the official CAFC account and that's let me purchase. I was putting 'CAFC Live' in Google and logging in via that, which is where all the 404 errors appeared.

I think 1-1 today with a late Shrewsbury goal making it feel like a loss.

    How bad is Iniss's injury?

Thought he was only going to be out a few weeks at most?
