If Jim White stopped prefixing everything with 'Breaking news here into Talk Sport Towers, bought to you by Wicks, its where the tradesman go..Its my understanding, that, as it stands today....' then perhaps we wouldn't all have read the game had been called off on our phones before he got to break his stale old exclusive?
So no questions from the tooth fairy or lex dominatrix?
It is just my opinion but I feel the question about how much capital TS had put into the club was from them. JW just tried to disguise it by saying it was from a fan

A pity that Thomas turned up so late......I suspect this is why White didn’t have time to relate the questions that Elliott etc were evidently asking.....not making excuses but just maybe what’s happened.
Also a nice warning to Roland that if he doesn't see sense and sell at a sensible price TS has the option to leave. Don't believe he's thinking about moving away from Valley so soon.
Can’t stand White. It’s only Jordan that makes the show worth listening to. Who would have thought we would say that at one time ? Strange days indeed.
Thomas said one thing that definitely made my ears pick up. He said that Southall contacted Farnell when the Emirates money wasn’t coming through, and asked him if he could find someone else. That is clearly against the current settled narrative, especially Farnell’s, which says that Nimer contacted him. And “Carparkgate” backs that narrative. Maybe Thomas made a mistake there. However * TS is after Farnell, big time. * Southall certainly had the links to Farnell, even if rocky * whereas I often wondered who suggested Farnell, of all lawyers, to Nimer, if the goal was to stop the theft, as Farnell asserts.

I reckon White realised which way the wind was going and changed his mind.
He'd rather be mates in the long term with Sandgaard than with Farnell.
Plus Jordan, the twat that he is, wouldn't shut up and kept talking over TS
Didn't listen and you may just be doing your normal routine, but Simon Jordan has had our back for the last couple of years and that all that matters now. The Tango man has left the building and has supported our case consistently over recent times. I'm sure he has enjoyed Murray decline as they had many verbal and a legal battle over that handsome rocket scientist Dowie when he moved back up north to take over at Charlton. Iain Dowie used the same Satnav as Dale Stephens.
Jim White is just a presenter who suits the Talk sport format. How can we will fill the time between adverts is their main agenda.
Having an ex owner on the show is a good idea because ex players and players are the last to know what's going on off the field. Only their pay and their colleagues pay is of interest to current players and their agents.
We certainly get on the airwaves a lot for a small London team in League 1.
The Mountain to climb is of Himalayan size and we have only recently left base camp But at last the steps are in the right direction, up, not effing down.
The poker game between Thomas and Duchatelet is well underway and pleased he mentioned other options will be considered other than the valley. Duchatelet can try to work out if TS is bluffing.
No way would have Southall contacted Farnell. Farnell took him to court for unpaid fees and wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.
Nimer was put in touch with Farnell, purely because of his history with Southall, knowing that Farnell would jump at the chance to get something back on him. I suspect one of the other chancers - maybe even Amis - would have known of Southall's previous.

With respect, I wasn't seeking anyone else's viewpoint on what happened. I wanted to check whether I heard right, and if so why Thomas isn't following the "settled narrative", namely that which you have just repeated.
FWIW Amis suggested that van Seventer recommended Farnell to Nimer. But again, that's not what I'm asking.

More likely he no longer sees Charlton as a basket case to be ‘sympathised’ with under TS and normal service can be resumed as far as the relationship between the two sets of fans are concerned of which he is a palace fan. Wait til TS gets shown clips of ‘we’ll never play you again’ and ‘we sent the palace down’ being belted out and he plays those tunes on his electric guitar, jimi Hendrix style...

Did I mis-hear, or mis-interpret that?
I suspect it could be a misunderstanding or malaproper, the whole can of worms that was ESI vs. LD and all of them eating each other alive and everyone stabbing every back in reach probably confuses things somewhat. I have a feeling treating any incarnation of ESI or LD as united fronts is in error, they were all out for themselves only.

I'd rather not have to, if it's all the same to you, as I am busy working on the website right now. I was hoping somebody else might confirm that I heard correctly. If so, we can take it from there, if not then the settled narrative stands, albeit with several unclear aspects, some of which Farnell uses to his advantage with journalists - and that is why this is important, at least to me.

Great away victory that.

Thanks for that.
Jim White describing Thomas as 'my new best friend' made me cringe.
