Very concerned we need to make subs at HT every single game at the moment.

I'm gonna say it, ignoring that poor moment, it wasn't bad and Gilbey has done ok, change my mind

we don't deserve to be 1 down but accrington have been good.
  • Our best performance for about 5 weeks, just completely let down by a moment of stupidity

Yeah sorry, meant when is he back
  • Why has Osh not been playing centre back with Pratley in midfield in our past few games!

Lightweight and ineffective. Midfield too weak. Defence too deep.  No striker.  Miller good. JFC good.
  • Anyone who thinks Accrington dont belong where they are in the table is a snob!!

Called them a long ball merchant team myself before the game and have been proven absolutely wrong, been playing some lovely football this evening...

Proof you dont need pace if you can find space and pass it

This is on bowyer once again, negative line up produces a negative display.

it could be 3 or 4 quite easily.

That is unfair in my opinion We have three forwards a 2 forward minded midfielders on the pitch.

  • Pritchard (or any Accrington player to be honest) could hit the corner flag with a shot and the commentators would be waxing lyrical about how fine of an effort it is. Pish off
  • I actually thought that was our best half in a while. We actually moved the ball quickly when we had it, and at least weren't stuck passing it around the back.

However the worry is Accrington still looked better than us, and our best players are sitting on bench for some reason.

Can’t understand why our CM’s just let them stroll into the final third.   If a team is built on its spine through the middle we’re fooked!!!

some decent stuff going forward tho, so there is hope........not much, but some! 🙏

Easy to just criticise Bowyer but yet again let down, awful defending. They do look better then us but in fairness there just shooting from range. Deji has been very good. Morgan off for Maddison please. Like the look of Millar.

Poor, just not as poor as before, midfield just seems non existent so much of the time,

But, a mistake has cost us, still all to play for.

Could be worse, a reminder of where we were five years ago today.

There's a fundamental flaw in our midfield, regardless of team selection, formation, opposition. When we lose the ball teams are on our back four almost unopposed within 2 or 3 touches. We have a really soft underbelly at the moment.

Overall, that was better though admittedly from a very low baseline.
Big gap between front line and defence. Morgan and Gilbey not working hard enough to fill the gap.

Missing Watson so badly. Back 4 getting no cover. Gilbey and Morgan have been anonymous.
  • Decent game despite the score
Decent if your a Stanley fan

Embarrassing first half. Just not good enough. Every time Stanley attacked they have at least four players in our box and look like scoring. Our midfield is non existent. And we’re stuck with these players for the rest of the season. They look more like promotion candidates than us

  • 3 changes at half time needed, aneke Maddison and Schwartz for Washington smyth and gilbey and go flat 4-4-2.

when was the last time we actually set up to beat a team? Getting really sick of the team selection.
  • Very poor first half . Accrington look a good side . Morgan and Gilbey struggling .
  • not at the game watching on telly at home , despite the scoreline best atmosphere we’ve had down there for a while,  the crowd are still with the team .

Hoping we bring Morgan on at ht

Yeah, that’s where I am. We’ve a better balanced team than lately and playing better. It’s an even (and decent) game spoilt by a mistake. Always seems to be us making the mistakes these days though.

Centre midfield looks our weakness here. Not sure how Bowyer changes that with that bench

Team of midgets against one of the bigger teams in league, what fucking planet is Bowyer on.
  • Maxing out our salary cap, yet look like we need a lot still, not promising
  • Watch Gilbey off the ball,he just stands still flat footed.

Aneke for Morgan for me... Smyth and Miller are doing well enough with the width

Washington has done really well on his own up top given his stature compared with them but he needs help

Helped out by a midfield that doesn't have a tackle in them.

Really telling stat at kick-off - we've had 58 line-up changes this season, they've had 14 (least in the league). It really shows, we've not been terrible but they've got a cohesiveness that we badly lack.
