This is a tough one for Flores. Principled stand, and a lot of people thinks he’s right, but it’s so hard to legally prove racism in these cases.
He’s got nothing that I’ve seen that shows any documented comments. The Rooney Rule, while pushed as a tool for diversity, can also be used a defense. I would expect the Giants to say, yes, we had already decided on Daboll for (insert reasons here) but the league insists we interview minority candidates, and so we’re compelled to schedule interviews like this. We’re simply victims of a league rule here.
Public sentiment may well be against them, everyone can see it’s a loaded system, but proving it will be very difficult, if not impossible. He may take down Ross in Miami, but that would be for rules infractions.
Keeping the Burgundy and Gold makes sense too, obviously.
But they could have come up with a goofy looking logo for it at least, the letter W and the strip that just says the word COMMANDERS on it is just so bleh

would think that the great American marketeers could come up with a better name than Commanders .. Presidents or Senators would make more sense .. 2nd thoughts, NOT Presidents and Senators was a name for a defunct baseball club (now Minnesota Twins) .. what about Washington Wonders ?

I take your point but assuming the things he alleges did happen, it's going to be very tough for those involved to prove it wasn't racism.
I hope he wins and brings down a load of the horrible bastards involved. The NFL statement was shocking: "We will defend against these claims, which are without merit."
Without merit? How can they possibly say that without an investigation taking place? Blindly defending rich white owners yet they'll spray the fields with some token message and pretend they're helping sort things out.
We had Byron Leftwich waiting for us for NINE DAYS, though. Bit of a shamble toward Doug but even so we have somehow, miraculously, ended up at a reasonable hire.

Get rid of Baalke and then we vibe.
Deliberately lost final game of the season to improve the teams draft pick. Seems like a good choice for the Jags.

The good news keeps on coming for the NFL.
Scarier than a flock of Cardinals, that's for sure
